FoodFilled's Giving Day is 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘! 1 in 3 Australian households suffer from food insecurity - yet 1.3 billion tonnes of edible food ends up in landfill every year. FoodFilled aims to combat the intersecting crises of food insecurity and food waste by rescuing leftover, excess or unsold edible food bound for landfills and redistributing that food to local charities in need. Today, and today only, each dollar donated to FoodFilled will be 𝗗𝗢𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗗! This means that every $𝟭 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 = 𝟮 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 to those in need. FoodFilled is seeking to raise $𝟭𝟱𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 to support our mission and achieve our goal of feeding 𝟯𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 people in 2025. We have just made our latest donation for One Tree Planted to plant 281 trees. Castlefirth has been donating to this fantastic non-profit organisation since 2019; each dollar donated = "One Tree Planted" (it does what it says on the tin). To date, One Tree Planted has introduced over 3000 trees on our behalf in the most impactful locations around the world, from Ontario to Brazil to Bhutan.
