The story of Inside44 revolves around humans, as it is primarily told for a human audience. In this vast universe, humanity has conquered several planets and established new civilizations. Our most significant conquests include Mars and the Moon. Mars was terraformed, with half of the planet resembling Earth while the other half remains uninhabitable without specialized equipment. At a pivotal moment, Mars decides it's time to separate from Earth, leading to tension and conflict. Earth strongly opposes Mars's desire for independence, setting the stage for the pre-story of Inside44, which begins 15 years before the main events. This period marks the "Brotherly War," a devastating conflict between the two planets in which many lives are lost. Mars ultimately triumphs in the war by employing unprecedented strategies and tactics, securing its independence. This conflict, known as the "Mars War for Independence," lays the foundation for the universe of Inside44 and shapes the entire story.

Antarctic Exploration: A tale of resilience and rivalry 1910. The race to see who reaches the geographical south pole first has just begun. Amundsen, a 39-year-old Norwegian explorer, is on his way to the North Pole. But upon seeing that another expedition has just arrived, he decides that he will then go to the South Pole. He has never been there but he is a very experienced man in expedition missions to the North Pole. Perhaps the number one of the moment! Scott; a 43-year-old English marine soldier. He started a expedition one year ago with the idea of being the first to reach the geographic south pole. On the way he realizes that he is no longer alone in this race. Amundsen is hot on his heels! Scott had been to Antarctica years ago with his partner Shackleton. Then Shackleton returned again without Scott and he was only 200 km away from reaching the geographic south pole. When he returned home, he gave all the information to Scott. Now, Scott has decided to make the final attempt. The mission requires exhaustive preparation. And, after reaching the south pole coast, both expeditions spent all of 1910 and 1911 working on the ground, setting up intermediate camps, training men and testing equipment. And waiting to have everything ready for when the moment of truth arrives; the southern summer, at the end of 1911. But let me save that story for another day, my friend. #challenge #adventure #teamwork #exploration #spirit #storytelling

Trivia for Antarctic Tragics # 37 Four Tucker Sno-Cats were part of the Fuchs/Hillary Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition 1955-1958. This famous image of a scary crevasse moment is everywhere, but there is also a copy of this photo in a place most people wouldn't be aware of. Is it: a) In a state room at Buckingham Palace b) Buried with Sir Edmund Hillary c) In a time capsule on the summit of Mount Everest d) In outer space The Voyager missions were launched in 1977 with the goal of exploring the planets in our Solar System and then Interstellar space. In the event that the probes ran into some extra-terrestrial life, a gold plated copper disc record was pressed with images and sounds to depict and explain life on earth. Included in the 116 images were scientific and anatomic diagrams, architecture, sports, and this shot of exploration of an extreme environment. Voyager 1 is currently 24.5 billion kms away from earth (Pluto is 5 billion kms away). We can only hope the aliens understand the King's English, otherwise the words written on the side of the Sno-Cat could baffle them for millennia. What's Klingon for "Trans" ? Answer d) In outer space

⭕ What does living in a Martian simulation for 5 days even mean? 🗻 We will go underground. Mars has a thin atmosphere that doesn't protect us from the cosmic rays and doesn't keep any heat. Luckily, Mars has also tubes, formed by lava that has cooled down, and it would be smart to settle there for protection. Earth caves are a perfect practice ground! To get to our base, we will have to climb using specialised gear and navigate a cave about 1,5 km long. ☀️ Which means absolutely no sunlight for 5 days. Our internal clock will not be getting signals from the natural sunlight anymore, but we are well aware of and prepared for hormone and sleep disturbances. 🥡 We will also eat astronaut food - food that can stay out of the fridge, is lightweight, and doesn't need much preparation. That food is usually dehydrated, to prevent the growth of microorganisms and stay safe for a long time. Menu variety is limited, which can get quite tiring after 5 days, and that's why I will be keeping a close eye on our appetite through my research! 💧 Water will be rationed, and we will not be able to have any showers. For hygiene, we will be using wet wipes, like astronauts do on the International Space Station. 👩🏻🚀 We will have to frequently leave our base and go on EVAs (Extra-Vehicular Activities)! During the EVAs, we will be wearing space suits (we are on Mars, remember?), which are basically tiny spaceships that keep an astronaut alive outside of the habitat. We will then have to navigate the cave, collect samples of the life there (mostly cyanobacteria) and bring it back to the base for analysis. 🦇 Not all forms of life in the specific cave have been studied. There have even been some new species of amoebas discovered during earlier missions! What we know for sure is that, of course, there will be a lot of bats. 💪🏻 It is certain that we will be exposed to extreme conditions - some foreseen, and maybe some unforeseen. The training we received from Astroland Chief Human Factor Officer Daniel Torres gave us valuable insights on decision-making processes, incorporating elements from the U.S. Navy SEALS training regime. 🚀 It's T-5! #spacenutrition #spaceresearch https://lnkd.in/dBPNeM2z

This stately volcano stands tall on the Antarctic continent 🌋 Landsat 9 captured this image of Mount Siple on February 26, 2024. Sunlight reflects from the snowy, icy surfaces, including the Getz Ice Shelf, which separates the volcano from mainland West Antarctica. Unlike many volcanoes in Antarctica, Mount Siple has a summit elevation of more than 3,100 meters (10,000 feet), making it one of the few not partially buried beneath the ice sheet’s surface. #Martian On this sol in 209 (2004 January 19): MER-A Sol 16: The history of Spirit’s descent and landing on the surface of Mars is recorded in this image taken more than two weeks later by the camera on the orbiting Mars Global Surveyor. The two dots in the upper left are the spacecraft’s backshell and parachute, which were shed as Spirit’s bridle was cut, allowing the lander to bounce to a rest while safely encased in airbags. To the far right of the image, a dark streak above a large crater is believed to be the location where the heat shield impacted. The heat shield had protected the spacecraft during its descent through the Martian atmosphere and was jettisoned several kilometers above the surface. A trail of bounce marks made by the airbags as Spirit bounced to a stop can be seen in the middle of the image. To the left of the second bounce mark is a square showing the location where engineers had calculated Spirit’s airbags first hit the Martian surface, based on data from the descent image motion estimation system located on the bottom of the rover’s lander. The white dot near the bottom of the image is the lander, also known as the Columbia Memorial Station, at the Gusev Crater landing site. Beside it is a dot marked “surface feature location,” showing the location of the lander estimated by the Spirit team using sight lines to landmarks in the lander’s panoramic images. This image was taken in the early Martian afternoon. —NASA/JPL https://lnkd.in/ggZDQfPz

AMAZON , Don’t destroy AMAZON Our forests are disappearing at an alarming rate. Over the past few decades, we've witnessed the devastating impact of deforestation, with millions of acres of lush, vibrant ecosystems being cleared for various purposes. This alarming trend not only destroys the natural habitats of countless species but also contributes to climate change, soil erosion, and the disruption of vital water cycles. It's time we take action to protect and restore our precious forests and oceans and finally Earth before it's too late. NATO or other Organizations are also responsible for protecting our forests and oceans and all humanity with peace . They should respect to all thoughts without considering racism and finally developing to keep our planet Earth . We have no other place to live as alternative except Earth . Let’s young leaders control future of our planet. NATO and Organization are responsible to bring peace not to manufacturing war guns and tools . We are all in one ship . Please don’t make hole our ship .
Penguin's Great Escape: Mission Impossible – Antarctic Edition! It was a high-stakes chase for one penguin, desperately trying to evade a killer whale on its tail. This epic scene was captured by Matt Karsten and his wife Anna, who were on a dinghy in Antarctic waters for whale watching. They watched in awe as the gentoo penguin darted through the water, out-swimming the whale for several minutes. In a miraculous twist, the penguin made a daring leap towards the dinghy. After an unsuccessful first attempt, it finally managed to be saved by a quick-thinking passenger on the second try. This epic chase was straight out of an action movie! 🤗

#Martian LS 347.6° Curiosity Sol 4338 Perseverance Sol 1303 MSD 53607 On this sol in 102 (1802 November 12): Johann Schröter drew a sketch of Mars. As with other drawings made during this apparition of Mars, reconciling this portrayal with the planet’s albedo features is problematic, which suggests that a global dust storm might have been in progress. The dark, horizontal streak may correspond to Mare Sirenum. https://lnkd.in/gT3p7j6G
