What a treat! Talcott’s Technology team recently hosted an interactive, Halloween-themed town hall and showcase in Hartford that highlighted some of the team’s accomplishments and key projects, as well as priorities for the coming year. The event also featured an offsite bowling activity for the team to celebrate their achievements and connect with colleagues. The work of the Technology team is indispensable to Talcott’s success, and we’d like to thank them for their contributions and for putting on such a fun and informative event in our Hartford location! #LifeatTalcott #collaboration #culture #technology

See all those happy people in this pic? That’s the CS Recruiting team live and in color at our quarterly Connect + Share meeting last Friday in Chicago! Once a quarter, we bring our team together for a day and we take advantage of this time together. We communicate. We collaborate. We connect. Every other quarter, we host this event live and in the quarters between, we do it virtually. These days together are all about bonding as a team. Of course, there is “business” talk as we review our financials, goals and challenges as a team. But, we always make sure to weave in a little fun and a lot of inspiration through interactive exercises, group discussions and team building activities. If you work in a virtual environment, how does your team stay connected? #teamwork #companyculture #wfh

Collaboration. It’s one of those curious words as it has both positive and negative definitions…it’s called a contranym which is a word that has opposite meanings depending on the context of its use. Collaboration can be the action of working with someone to produce something. Or the traitorous cooperation with an enemy. As with many things, context is key. Context from Latin ‘contextus’ meaning a joining together, to weave together. The context, the ‘so what’ of this post is the theme for my week has been collaboration of the first kind, it has been filled with working with exceptional Stonegate Group people to produce something great. Thank you to the General Managers and Area Managers who so generous donated your time to creating an open space for sharing ideas, insights and reflections during our listening sessions this week. When in retail I believed the truth was in the stores, in hospitality it is in the sites for sure. Invaluable collaboration and a week’s highlight of meeting with all of you. Then a huge thank you to the managed operations team and our cross functional partners who created a truly collaborative space this week between operations, commercial, finance and marketing as we worked to coauthor and co-create plans to continue to strive and innovate to give our guests the best experiences. The dialogue and clear communication was great to be a part of and we truly did set the context for the year ahead by joining together to weave the plans. Collaboration is a team sport. Partnering the inch-wide mile-deep expertise and specialisms of the support teams with the inch-deep mile-wide knowledge and skills of the operations team, we shaped ideas bigger and better together than we could ever do alone. And as I started with, context is everything. In the spirit of moving more for mental heath awareness week, as a family we set up table tennis outdoors in the sun last weekend. With the weather turning a bit, I suggested we tidied it away so it didn’t get wet and headed off for a couple of days. With hindsight, my communication and contextualising could have been clearer…or maybe my traitorous boys were collaborating against my desire for a clear spaces as this is what I returned to… #collaboration #context #hospitality

The Fire Dudes Llc W: www.thefiredudes.com Celebration meetings serve as invaluable opportunities to recognize and celebrate the achievements of team members while also fostering a culture of positivity and collaboration within the company. By consulting with teams to identify the next person moving up the ladder, businesses can confirm positive growth and demonstrate a commitment to nurturing talent from within. This approach not only acknowledges individual contributions but also strengthens team cohesion and morale, as team members feel valued and appreciated for their efforts. Moreover, by considering everyone's opinions and perspectives during these meetings, businesses empower team members to actively participate in decision-making processes and contribute to the company's success. This inclusive approach not only fosters a sense of ownership and belonging but also leverages the collective wisdom and expertise of the entire team. By recognizing achievements, promoting talent from within, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and collaboration, celebration meetings become catalysts for driving positive growth and strengthening the professional network within the company. #BusinessRelationships #BusinessDevelopment #Marketing #Marketing365 #Propertymanagementcompanies #ClaimAdjusters #FieldAdjuster #YourNetWork #Marketing #MarketingLikeCrazy #Marketing365 #Marketing360 #MarketingAdvertisingAndBusinessDevelopment #ClaimAdjusters #FieldAdjuster #InsuranceClaims247 #SanitizingBuildingsInNewYorkCity #Mold #MoldRemoval #MoldTesing #MoldInspections #VisualInspectionsmold

One of the key components of this culture is the importance of team events, such as regular shared lunches. Sharing a meal together allows us to connect on a personal level, break down silos, and encourage open communication across teams. A positive company culture is built on trust, respect, and camaraderie. 𝟓 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗿, 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 - 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁𝗅) Team events, but online - HOW TO make them special with 'Love Letters'! 💌 We are a hybrid team at femtasy / Pink Internet GmbH, and we only come together in person once per quarter with the full squad for our big 'team days' (including plenty of team-building time). I’m a big believer though that it’s important to create little moments of connection in between. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶-𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱—𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗠𝗔𝗝𝗢𝗥 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝟓 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀: 1️⃣ Take a regular company/team-wide meeting (eg the all-hands) & add 15 minutes. 2️⃣ Set up a shared workspace (like a FigJam board) with little Love Letter icons & each team member's name. 3️⃣ During the meeting, invite everyone to write a short note (a 'love letter') to their colleagues, focusing on what they admire or appreciate about them. 4️⃣ Ask volunteers to read out some of their notes by the end of the meeting, and let everyone read the rest afterwards. 5️⃣ Observe how the magic unfolds. 🙂 Our team couldn’t stop writing and reading notes to each other! The result? A more connected team that knows their work—and their relationships with each other—truly matter. ❤️ Truth be told, it moved me a lot to read the notes team members wrote to me. But even more than that, it was incredible to hear the genuine words of appreciation colleagues shared with each other. It made me SO proud of the trust, kindness, and support we’ve built as a team. If you’re looking for a meaningful team bonding exercise, try this—I promise you’ll love it! What’s your favorite way to keep your team connected? Always curious to try new things! #companyculture #leadership #femalefounders #team #peopleandculture
