How to improve your employer brand? Make it (respectfully) more incendiary. The best brands attract and repel. What thoughts, feelings, and ideas can you add to your employer content to make people have big opinions (like adoration or indignation, instead of “it’s fine”) about your company? One practical way is to be more upfront on your career page about what the company is best suited to provide candidates: money, reach, reputation, impact, creation, teamwork… Not every company gives the same thing. Not every candidate wants the same thing. The more up front you can be about what makes your company different, the faster you attract the right people and repel the wrong. — Want help identifying what makes your company different?
