For many, this will be the first full week of work in 2024 (If you were working on New Year's Day you not only earned year-long bragging rights but also our respect). Of course, the new year provides a tremendous opportunity to reset, to reassess, and to reapply yourself to personal and professional goals. For leaders, it's a great time to step back and reassess, to ask yourself: "Does this new year require new leadership? And if so, how am I going to deliver that?" At Talking Talent we've always specialized in helping organizations ask and answer those difficult questions. To do that effectively, it has always been important to us to embrace the new. So, this is a special time of year for us. With our still-sorta-new CEO (Dr Mary-Clare Race was appointed to the role late last year), we're working on new ways to address workplace challenges, and we are excited to take on 2024. https://lnkd.in/eKEGi8zS

Eight Eleven Group and its family of companies have been recognized as a #TopWorkplace for 10 years in a row! Not many organizations achieve an accomplishment like this, and few professionals get to grow their careers within the same organization for over 19 years as I have. The great culture and investment in its employees are two reasons why I am proud to be a part of the Eight Eleven Family of Companies! Check out Eight Eleven’s latest blog to hear more thoughts from myself and other tenured employees on how the organization has evolved over the years! I specialize in helping OD/MD doctors & practices make hiring and getting hired easy. CEO @ Eye To Eye Careers.
As a CEO, I’ve learned that a motivated team is the cornerstone of any successful business. In the fast-paced world of recruiting, it’s essential to keep morale high and recognize the hard work of our employees. Last week, I bought my team lunch and made sure to end our week with a good time. This is just one of the many things I do to show my team appreciation. Here’s how I make it a core part of Eye To Eye Careers’ culture: 1. Celebrate Achievements: Regularly acknowledge big wins and contributions in team meetings. 2. Personal Touch: Use handwritten notes, shout-outs, and simple thank-yous. 3. Open Communication: Ask your team often how you can make processes and systems easier for them so they can work more efficiently. 4. Team Activities: Plan team-building events like lunches and outings, offer them bonus systems to motivate them and offer space where your team can have a good time together. At Eye To Eye Recruiters, we understand that our greatest asset is our people. Investing in their well-being and recognizing their contributions is not just a strategy—it’s a commitment to excellence. Share a happy memory that happened to you last week at work in the comments below! #Recruitment #EmployeeMotivation #TeamSuccess #WorkplaceRecognition #Leadership #HR

"There is no returning to the days when organizations expected—and received—unconditional loyalty from employees." Yes. That sounds simple but it requires a complete shift of culture in an organization. What needs to be done now that 30 year tenures won't be the rule anymore? Now that even 5- year tenures are rather the exception? Organisations must evolve and adapt, embracing a new paradigm. This involves treating employees as valuable assets, investing in their growth and development. Open communication and transparency, recognition and reward systems, a culture where every voice matters and is heard. Remember, in today's world, people don't work for companies, they work with companies. Their loyalty is tied to how they are valued, respected, treated, and how their career progresses within that company. It's time to throw away the old rule book and create a new one that reflects the realities of the modern workforce.

In the heart of our organization, we embarked on a journey to cultivate a culture that fostered engagement, collaboration, and positivity. It wasn't just about the bottom line; it was about nurturing an environment where every team member felt valued and empowered. We started small, with open communication channels and regular team-building activities. As trust blossomed, so did our collective spirit. People began sharing ideas freely, collaborating across departments, and taking ownership of their work with newfound enthusiasm. But the real magic happened when we put our culture into action during challenging times. Instead of retreating, our team rallied together, supporting one another with empathy and resilience. It was in those moments of adversity that our bonds grew stronger, and our culture shone brightest. As we reflect on our journey, it's clear that our investment in culture has paid off tenfold. Our team is more engaged, our productivity has soared, and turnover rates have plummeted. But perhaps most importantly, we've created a workplace where people feel valued, respected, and inspired to do their best work every day. Moving forward, we're committed to continuing our efforts to cultivate our culture, knowing that it's the foundation upon which our success is built. Together, we'll keep sowing the seeds of positivity, collaboration, and growth, reaping the rewards for years to come.

Happy week ahead, all! Let’s think together: how successful cross-funcional work relates to D&I? In an era where collaboration is key, breaking down silos and working cross-functionally enables us to harness the unique strengths each team member brings to the table. It’s leveraging our different styles, backgrounds and professional journeys on behalf of the customers and the business. Diversity and inclusion are not just buzzwords; they’re integral to our growth and prosperity. Building a workplace that values differences and actively seeks inclusivity unlocks untapped potential. A diverse team brings a wealth of experiences, skills, and insights that drive better decision-making and problem-solving. By fostering an environment where everyone feels heard and valued, we not only enhance our workplace culture but also elevate our collective ability to tackle challenges and seize opportunities. D&I is in our everyday work life, not only in HR policies. Be a champion and cultivate an environment that nurtures everyone’s development and growth. PS: the picture is me and my awesome Medical partner Catherine Best , with whom I have the privilege to work with and learn from.
