Dear Mr Robert Nicholson
Now that we are officially in 2024 and you are officially starting your duties as the CEO of HomeSafe Alliance, I welcome you to a position that I’m sure no one envies and an opportunity that only you have. I won’t bother with the details that I know the moving industry will bring to you, but rather with the concerns of community that is the end user in this contract.
As retired military yourself, you know that contracting out quality of life sectors in the name of privatization has never worked. When we hear that our PCS process is essentially contracted out to privatization under the disguise of “single source management”, many of us still feel the pain from the housing failure. We are at least grateful that your company has only been awarded a base of 3 years on this contract unlike the 50 years we are stuck in with housing.
You have a long way to go Bobby in gaining the trust of our military service members and family community. While everyone likes to argue that HomeSafe is not TierOne, there is no denying that TierOne is a contract partner in this game, and that with the same president in place, there is not much confidence that anything will truly be different. Under TierOne many saw issues with communications, claims, and basic customer service skills. What we’ve seen roll out this far is on par to be more of the same. You can read more of what my community thinks in the attached link below.
The attached link below is an email I had sent your predecessor, Mr Thompson and your President, Matt Dolan that to this day has still gone unanswered. I welcome your answers to my questions posed in the link.
That leads us to your opportunity. You have an amazing opportunity here to change the course of direction that things are currently heading. You have an opportunity to change the status quo that we have all come to expect from not only Tier One but also privatized contracts. You have an opportunity to help bridge the gaps of the communities involved, change the direction, change the narrative, and start making the positive changes that need to be made.
It’s your opportunity to lose.
I do wish you best wishes on your new endeavors and the challenges before you. As I’ve always stated before with everyone, I am always open to having a conversation. I would welcome your answers and comments to my email below.
I appreciate your time.
