Aegean Airlines announced a codeshare partnership with SAUDI AIRLINES during the Arabian Travel Market 2024, in Dubai. Aegean Airlines and Saudia, the National flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, announced during the Arabian Travel Market 2024 ATM in Dubai, a new partnership from the enhanced flight options between Greece and Saudi Arabia. With this agreement, passengers will have increased travel options for Athens, Jeddah and Riyadh, while enjoying a unique travel experience, as well as premium services that both Airlines offer in particular, in this codeshare agreement Aegean Airlines will be adding its code on SAUDIA services on the routes Jeddah-Athens-Jeddah and Riyadh-Athens-Riyadh. Likewise Saudia will be adding its code on AEGEAN's routes. Etihad Airways, Royal Air Maroc to deepen operational ties Etihad Airways and Royal Air Maroc are set to collaborate more closely together after signing a MoU for commercial and operational ties. The agreement is aiming to offer travellers more choice and added value. Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad Airways CEO, said: “This agreement covers a broad range of activities from exploring the expansion of existing airline codeshare arrangements to more domestic routes in Morocco and Africa.” The airlines will look to expand loyalty program benefits and ground operations. Abdelhamid Addou, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Air Maroc: “We are very proud to establish this important partnership offering a more optimised and seamless travel experience through our respective hubs.” The existing airline codeshare agreement gives customers of both airlines easy connectivity to destinations across each other’s networks. This is between Morocco and the UAE and beyond Casablanca into Africa. The agreement enables guests to book their entire journey on a single ticket with baggage checked through to the end destination.

This was earlier at 10% miles penalty except for cancelation within 24 hours where you got nothing.

6th June 2024 marks an important day for Emirates and Etihad. The airlines have entered a special agreement which allows clients to combine and book flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. So, how does it work? ✈ Fly into Dubai on an Emirates flight and depart from Abu Dhabi on an Etihad flight, or vice-versa. 🥂 Economy, Business and First Class tickets are eligible, but not Premium Economy. 📆 Flights booked before the 6th June are not eligible for rebooking/rerouting. Etihad Airways, Egyptair ink agreement to enhance commercial, operational ties Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways and Cairo-headquartered Egyptair have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance commercial and operational ties, and provide travelers with wider choices, higher quality services and increased value. This agreement follows an existing codeshare between the two airlines, which has provided customers with better connectivity to destinations across both networks between Egypt and the UAE, Cairo into Africa, and beyond Abu Dhabi into Asia. The agreement enables guests to book their entire journey on a single ticket and have their baggage checked through seamlessly to their final destination. “This agreement will help further deepen our codeshare with Egyptair opening up seamless travel for guests of both airlines across our networks,” stated Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways. Moreover, the agreement lays the foundation for cooperation in both airlines’ frequent flyer programs, joint marketing campaigns, and promotions that stimulate and reward customers. This year's Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr holiday was an unusually busy period for Saudi Arabia's airports. 100 different airlines carried more than 12.5 million people on 86,000 flights including domestic and international, private and commercial. That was an 18% increase in trips and passengers over the same period in 2023. The busiest airports were Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport with 5.38 million passengers and Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport with 3.23 million passengers. What is driving these surging numbers? Open doors. Passenger numbers have been picking up since the Kingdom simplified it's visa services for pilgrims and tourists. Continued investment in the aviation industry in particular and the tourism sector more broadly as the Kingdom pursues its vision to position itself as an industrial powerhouse and important logistics hub should deliver accelerating growth in passenger and flight numbers over the coming months and years. SAUDI AIRLINES #Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, was named ‘The World's Most Improved Airline’ and ranked number one for the Best Economy Class Airline Catering at the 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards.   The event was hosted by Skytrax, the international air transport rating organization, known for its evaluation of the global airline industry. The World Airline Awards are based on a comprehensive global customer satisfaction survey conducted over several months, covering more than 375 airlines worldwide.   Saudia’s ‘SHINE’ transformation program has been instrumental in accomplishing this remarkable achievement as the initiatives are focused on elevating the guest experience, optimizing operational efficiency, and enhancing its service and product offerings, followed by the launching of Saudia’s new era of digital transformation and cutting-edge technologies. These efforts have propelled Saudia to rank among the top 10 airlines globally in On-Time Performance (OTP) throughout 2023, maintaining this position for six consecutive months.
