As the 54𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 enters its third day, a few leading personas of AVANTGARDE are about to make a purposeful visit. Dr. Marc Schumacher (Global CEO), Stuart Bradbury (International M.D), Christine J. Thienemann (MD Avantgarde Swiss) and George Perry (Global New Business Director) will be present amongst the world’s most prominent political, business, and cultural leaders, as they engage in constructive discourse that will shape the future of our world. The theme of the coveted forum is centralized around rebuilding trust and synergy in an ever-expansive yet fragmented global landscape. The scheduled program has been delving deep into the imminent necessity of unity and collaboration between businesses, governments, and nations in solving political unrest, increasing employment opportunities, tackling climate change, and the role of A.I in society. For the last four decades, we have harnessed the power of technology to evolve the human experience. However, great power calls for great responsibility. In a time riddled with rapid innovation, keeping up with it is becoming more and more of a challenge, especially with the explosion of Artificial Intelligence. As a leading global brand experience agency, it is certainly our prerogative to ensure a positive relationship between man, experiences, and technology. Yet, how do we guarantee that with A.I which is still very much in its infantile stage? To what extent can we integrate A.I into our experiences? What is the ethical framework to follow? But most importantly, how do use it to the benefit of mankind? While questions are begging, the 54th World Economic Forum is laying the groundwork to help collectively lead us towards those answers. If you are in #Davos and interested in fostering exchange and building new relationships, please reach out to Stuart Bradbury and George Perry as well as our Managing Director of AVANTGARDE Switzerland Christine J. Thienemann. #CreatingFans #CraftingStories #ShapingSpaces #AvantgardiansonTour

Calling all HR Professionals!! Join TAP Network on January 23rd for an Anti-racism webinar in partnership with Black Women’s Business Network. Racism and systemic barriers lead to unfair treatment and disadvantages for racial groups, especially Black individuals. The technology industry still lacks significant Black representation. “Black households stand to lose out on more than a cumulative $350 billion in tech job wages by 2030, an amount equal to one-tenth the total wealth held by those households, according to a McKinsey Institute for Black Economic Mobility analysis. The wage gap in tech roles is expected to grow nearly 37 percent, from $37.5 billion in 2023 to $51.3 billion in annual lost wages by 2030” SOURCE: MCKinsey Understanding and addressing the barriers contributing to these disparities is crucial for a more equitable and creative tech workforce. Save your spot and register through the link below. https://lnkd.in/gFfv_gKS The “Addressing Racism and Systemic Barriers faced by Black People in Canada’s Tech Sector” webinar is offered in partnership with Lighthouse Labs, as part of the ICT Boost Initiative. I recently attended PAX West for the second time, and it was an incredible experience, full of diverse activities and booths ranging from Indie games to AAA game studios, developers, and publishers. On the first day of the convention, I had the opportunity to attend the panel "Be Brave: Networking the Industry with Boldness," which offered valuable insights that resonate across industries. Key takeaways from the panelists included: - Start Strong, No Matter the Role: Even if your initial position isn’t your dream job, excel in your current role while strategically navigating toward your desired career path. - Intentional Networking: When sending LinkedIn connection requests, personalize your message and aim to build meaningful, ongoing relationships rather than making it a one-time interaction. - Be Prepared and Genuine: Before meeting with someone for advice, thoroughly research and prepare questions, show genuine interest, and come equipped with discussion topics to make the most of your time together. - Get Involved: Actively participate in meetups, join social groups within your local community, and seize opportunities to engage with others in the industry. - Showcase Your Work: If the role you’re pursuing requires a portfolio, ensure it’s well-curated and accessible. - Maintain Accessibility: Keep your LinkedIn and other professional platforms updated, making it easy for others to reach out to you. - Highlight Transferable Skills: Ensure your skills, particularly those that are applicable across different roles, are clearly demonstrated. PAX West continues to be a fantastic event for anyone looking to connect, learn, and grow in the gaming industry. #PAXWest2024 #NetworkingTips #CareerGrowth #IndustryInsights #GamingIndustry #ProfessionalDevelopment

Being visible and vocal isn't the same thing as being influential. With all the posts promoting the Eventex Most Influential People in the Events Industry, it can feel like a popularity contest. Personally, I’ve always hesitated to participate for that reason. But there are many #eventprofs on the list who genuinely deserve recognition, and I’d love to shine a light on those who regularly influence me to think deeper, learn more, and explore different perspectives. Adam Parry: Adam is brilliant and well-connected, having created one of the top #eventtech gatherings in the industry. Plus, he’s hilarious, down-to-earth, and always up for some good-natured text banter. Jonathan Kazarian: Jonathan stands out because he’s not just another tech bro. Jonathan genuinely understands the importance of investing in relationships and being a part of our community. He has spent a significant amount of time really getting to know the world of event professionals. Bob Vaez: Bob’s content is always insightful, and EventMobi has been a steady force in event tech for a long time (before tech was cool!). Whether sharing job postings or engaging in thoughtful discussions, Bob continuously helps spark important conversations for #eventprofs. Sina Bünte, CMP, DES, TMEP, HVED: Sina is brilliant, with her finger on the pulse of so many corners of our industry. Her creativity and insights are always spot on, which is why she’s constantly earning industry accolades. Veemal Gungadin: Veemal and his team are building tech that will make our jobs easier and more efficient. Their thoughtful, AI-powered software is set to change how we plan and execute events and he's always open to feedback. Michael Shapiro: Michael's writing and reporting are so diligently put together. There is thought, research, fact checking, and balance in everything that he puts out and he's become a great resource for #eventprofs. He can also hold a plank for at least 75 seconds. As I review the list to decide who to vote for, I'd love for you to share a few names of who you are voting for and why? https://lnkd.in/gJR3MBak

Unlock National Recognition: How Your Business Can Win the Inc 5000 Award This Year SXSW 2024 Austin TX is off to a great start! Meeting old pals, making new friends. Kicked off my SXSW at the Capital Factory Backstage. Connected with amazing innovators building amazing things. Next up, the Inc. Magazine's Founders House honorees gathering. Even though we won the Inc 5000 award in a prior business years ago :-) the Inc awards panel graciously invites me each year. I feel like a fly-on-the-wall because many billion dollar companies are on this list such as Texas’s own Siete Family Foods 🌟I share this for two reasons. First up, the Inc 500 and Inc 5000 awards operated is one of these meritocratic awards, where you don’t need to know the editor or the staff. Literally, any business that is growing fast and sustainably has a shot at winning the award. The second, it is not a vanity award. Winning the award opens up new opportunities: clients, partnerships, investments, and becoming part of a select community of honorees. 🌐If you are in Austin this week, and growing a SaaS, Ecommerce, Service or Agency business, love to connect. I'm all about fostering profitable growth and guiding you towards claiming your spot on the Inc 5000 or even the Inc 500 list. Fill this form to receive your exclusive invitation: https://lnkd.in/g-Mgd2yw Let's make this week about catapulting your business to national recognition. See you in Austin! #SXSW2024 #Inc5000 #CFHouse
