Date: 17th March 2024 Incident: Apprehension of Suspected Pirates near Jiifle The specialized police force of Nugaal region (PPF) and the Puntland Maritime Police Force - PMPF successfully apprehended two individuals suspected of engaging in piracy activities on the vessel MV Abdullah near Jiifle. In response to this incident, the Police Chief of Puntland has issued an order to conduct an investigation into strategic areas and coastal regions. The purpose of the investigation is to ensure the stability of maritime trade and prevent pirate attacks in the Nugaal region. Fellow Veterans, Military, and Threat Management Teammates, Do you feel outrage from the news about the I-75 shooting suspect in Kentucky? Did you know that 25% of mass casualty offenders have military backgrounds? That's a horrific statistic and outsized impact on terror compared to the general population! Most, but not all, of these offenders are first-term separations or troubled former National Guard and Reserve Soldiers, like the alleged Kentucky assailant. Many of these offenders then commit suicide. We all feel outrage about Veteran suicide, but it's time to voice our outrage and end Veteran Violence all together. One military mass offender is too many. We all swore oaths to defend the values of this country, we should not allow our brothers and sisters to fall into darkness or become the puppets of extremist organizations or violent motorcycle outlaw gangs. This analysis from UMD's START PIRUS details the scale of this problem: "From 1990-2022, 170 individuals with United States military backgrounds plotted 144 unique mass casualty terrorist attacks in the United States. These subjects represent approximately 25% of all individuals who plotted mass casualty extremist crimes during this period."
