Date: 17th March 2024 Incident: Apprehension of Suspected Pirates near Jiifle The specialized police force of Nugaal region (PPF) and the Puntland Maritime Police Force - PMPF successfully apprehended two individuals suspected of engaging in piracy activities on the vessel MV Abdullah near Jiifle. In response to this incident, the Police Chief of Puntland has issued an order to conduct an investigation into strategic areas and coastal regions. The purpose of the investigation is to ensure the stability of maritime trade and prevent pirate attacks in the Nugaal region.
