Great article Tara! Definitely identify with having to avoid night time runs do to safety. How would you address suburban areas that might have good transport links and parks but still face issues like car dependency or social isolation? Towns are developing but it can be challenging to influence people’s lifestyles.

So very refreshing to read and great to see. Regenerative and systems thinking are both widely missing from housing and development conversations, to the detriment of our places. Being regenerative in my view requires a mindset shift from the extractive approaches that currently shape placemaking to focusing on a genuine win-win-win for community, placeshapers and nature.
