We’re excited to highlight Para Judo today as the first matches and medal rounds unfold! We’re thrilled to showcase the dynamic action of this sport so let's a quick look at how Para Judo works: 🎯 How Para Judo Works: In Para Judo, athletes compete with the goal of throwing, pinning, or submitting their opponents. Matches take place on a mat where competitors use their senses and tactical skills to gain an advantage. Adapted for athletes with visual impairments, the sport relies on touch and auditory cues, making every move and strategy crucial. 🌍 Top Contenders: Keep an eye on exceptional performances from Japan, Brazil, and France. Japan, known as the birthplace of judo, continues to excel with a tradition of technical mastery and strategic depth. Brazil has rapidly become a powerhouse in Para Judo, with a strong emphasis on innovative techniques and intense training. France, with its robust judo program, consistently produces top-tier competitors recognized for their agility and tactical acumen. Each of these nations brings a unique strength and expertise to the mat, making them formidable contenders in this year’s tournament. Stay tuned for the thrilling bouts and celebrate the exceptional talents of these athletes as they vie for medals on the global stage. 🥋🏅 #Paralympics2024 #ParaJudo #InclusiveSports #AthleticExcellence #Judo

Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Champion 🥇 Paris 2024 Bronze Medalist 🥉 Former World No.1 Judoka (+90 and -100)
As some of you may have seen I recently competed in a sighted competition in Belgium. I don’t think many people realise that the majority of my training is against sighted athletes anyway, but I sometimes add a sighted competition into my schedule. Embracing the challenge of competing against sighted fighters in judo has been a transformative aspect of my journey within the sport of Judo. Each fight against sighted opponents becomes a dynamic challenge, a test of both my technical skills and adaptability. The thrill of facing opponents with full vision, not only intensifies the competition but also propels my growth as a judoka. The only rule difference between the two categories, wherein visually impaired fighters start the fight on the grip, sighted fighters begin across the mat from each other a few feet apart. Beginning on the grip as a starting position, not only requires precision in grip strength but also demands swift and strategic decision-making, enhancing my ability to read and respond effectively to the unpredictable movements of my opponent. Navigating through the challenges posed by sighted fighters is helping me everyday by moulding me into a more versatile and resilient judoka. Confronting these challenges head-on contributes to my overall development, mindset that embraces adversity and is a stepping stone for advancement within the dynamic world of competitive judo. #paralympicjudo #adaptivemindset #constantlyworking #britishjudo

Our director actively participates in international IBSA competitions to support judo for the blind, known as para-judo, a Paralympic sports discipline. Nusa Lampe, a 6th DAN judo master and member of the IJF Education & Coaching Commission, plays a key role in organizing judo tournaments for IBSA. 🟣 What's IBSA? IBSA stands for the International Blind Sports Federation, which oversees para sports like football, goalball, and judo. With over 400 top-level judo competitors registered, para-judo is truly a sport for champions! Nusa's Take 💬 "What I love about para-judo is the connection, genuine joy, and trust... Para-judokas rely on feelings and gut instincts, which are often overlooked in the everyday lives of those who can see. Every para-judo competition is a reminder of life's most important values - being kind and spreading goodness. That's the essence of judo." And we love to receive messages like this from our Mastermind Members. Our systems are helping judo clubs grow. Why is this important to us? Because judo changes lives. 600,000 people practice judo in France … Compared to around 30,000 in the UK (that’s around 5%) Judo needs to grow in the UK … We need more (3Cs) 🥋Clubs 🥋Coaches 🥋Classes … and we need systems in place to grow consistently. Judo can be the biggest martial art in the UK. And we are looking forward to helping that happen. #judo #BritishJudo

Good customer service is like judo—using a customer’s frustration to create a win-win. A friendly and efficient response can flip a negative situation on its head. Customer: "Why is my order taking so long?" Rep: "Because great things take time! But let’s check that for you." By diffusing tension with a smile and a solution, you save on extensive problem-solving and retain customers who might otherwise disappear. Happy customers are less likely to churn, meaning less money spent on acquiring new ones. So, practice your customer service judo and throw those problems out the window! 🥋💪 #CustomerService #EcommerceJudo #ecommerce
