We're proud of the work we're doing with diverse gender representation in tech - and with much more to do, we are committed for the long haul!

How many times have you attended an industry conference and found yourself watching panel after panel, keynote after keynote, with only men on the stage? It's not a great feeling. Only 26% of the tech industry's workforce is women. The numbers are worse at the leadership level - women make up only 20% of tech leadership roles. Food and beverage isn't much better; entry-level jobs are 47% held by women, but that drops significantly to 23% for senior management positions. There's a lot more to say here - and we haven't even started discussing racial diversity in tech and food, representation, pay gaps, discrimination, family leave, recruiting, higher education, etc. etc. etc - But the bottom line is: Who are we seeing represented in our meetings, our boardrooms, our company events, our brand vision? What goes by 'default' when we don't make active decisions? At Tastewise, we're working to answer those questions differently. I'm proud that we have 50% female senior leadership, 52% total female employees, and leadership that prioritizes diversity initiatives... AND we recognize there's still much work to be done. That's why I'm incredibly proud that at the Generative AI Food Pioneers Summit, *50% of the thought leaders on stage are women*. It's the first conference I've been to where this many women are given the stage to share their perspective, experience, skills, vision, and brilliance. The execution behind the scenes for the Summit, often managed by women and frequently publicly under-appreciated, is also 50% shared with male employees. These are steps in the right direction. If you want to learn from the industry's best - like Miriam Ueberall, Chief R&D at Upfield, Melanie Rodriguez Product Manager at Meta, Einav Gefen 🎗️, SVP Chef Innovator at Restaurant Associates, Karyn Schoenbart, DuoPartners, and many more, join us online at the Summit today and tomorrow. We can only build the future of food if we create an inclusive environment where all voices can shape where we are headed. #DiversityInTech #WomenInLeadership #AI #FutureOfFood #Innovation #GenerativeAI
