Some of you might already know me in my current role as a Guest Advocate at Target, where I've developed a deep passion for ensuring a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members, as well as preventing loss. I'm thrilled to share that I'm now aspiring to transition into the field of Assets Protection within Target. This decision has been shaped over time, culminating in a definitive moment as I observed LinkedIn posts celebrating the accomplishments of Target Security Specialists. Their pivotal role in maintaining store safety and reducing shortage resonated deeply with me, cementing my commitment to this career path. Despite facing challenges in securing a role in AP, each attempt has only solidified my determination and enriched my understanding of the field. Observing the AP team in action at my store has been incredibly inspiring and has underscored the vital impact of this role. My inspiration for this pivot comes from my attention to detail and focus on safety and security, traits I’m eager to bring to an AP role. Whether it’s adhering to security protocols or proactively identifying potential safety hazards, I’ve always been committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment at our store, both for guests and team members. I'm reaching out to seasoned asset protection professionals, both within and outside of Target, for your invaluable advice and insights.
