Join us on Tuesday, November 14 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm (CT) for a FREE Virtual Workshop on Co-Regulation led by Bennett Day School's Early Childhood Director, Meg Fitzgerald, and Bambini & Me Teacher, Kasey Dahlberg. ✨ Workshop Overview: Self-regulation, the ability to manage thoughts and feelings to accomplish goals or directive actions, has become recognized as foundational in promoting well-being across the lifespan, including educational achievement and physical, emotional, social, and economic health. Self-regulation is necessary for success; however, it’s not internal to a child and begins to develop through interaction with parents, teachers, and caregivers. This supportive process is called co-regulation and it may be the most important thing we do as grown-ups in our children’s lives. Register now to receive the livestream link and workshop recording (if you can't tune in live): https://bit.ly/49mNmmz 💙 #discoverbennettday #coregulation #earlychildhooddevelopment #socialemotional #parenting #earlychildhood #selfregulation

Today's Collab topic : What needs Early intervention : Early Intervention Services are special services for infants and toddlers at risk for developmental delays. These services are designed to identify and meet children's needs in five developmental areas. ECD is a comprehensive approach to programmes and policies that support children from birth to seven years of age. It helps them develop their full cognitive, emotional, social and physical potential. At Beautiful Mind Studio, we offer ECD programmes that are based on the latest research and best practices. We provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for your child to learn and grow, based on the Child’Space® Method. This method is based on teaching parents how routine activities and play with their babies can stimulate developing motor, cognitive, emotional and social abilities, and improve co-regulation between babies and parents. Child’Space® takes its name from an approach to interacting that respects a child’s space, as when he/she is exploring on her own, and adjusts activities to suit his/her pace and temperament. Child’Space® helps parents and caregivers by teaching them how to observe their babies and to support their babies’ development. We love to help parents understand the unique strengths and abilities of their children. When a child is diagnosed with a developmental or learning difference, it's common for parents to view them through a lens of focusing on what is not going to plan. However, it's important to remember that every child has their own set of strengths and talents - and it's our job to help them discover and develop these gifts. When parents learn to see their child differently, they can begin to treat them differently. Instead of focusing on what their child can't do, they can focus on what they can do and help them build on these skills. This positive approach can have a profound impact on a child's self-esteem and confidence. At our clinic, we work with parents to help them understand their child's unique strengths and challenges. We provide them with practical strategies and tools to support their child's development and encourage them to celebrate their successes, no matter how small. If you're a parent of a child with a developmental or learning difference, we encourage you to shift your focus to your child's strengths and abilities. By doing so, you can help them thrive and reach their full potential. 💪🌟 #OT #occupationaltherapy #parenting #differentabilities #strengths #abilities #childdevelopment #learningdifferences #selfesteem #confidence #support #success #potential

Creating a supportive, stress-free environment for homework can significantly impact your child's attitude and effectiveness. This includes setting up a quiet, organised workspace, breaking tasks into manageable chunks, and allowing for short breaks. Encouragement and praise for effort, rather than just completion or correctness, can also foster resilience and a more positive approach to challenges. Transforming homework from a daily battle into a more positive experience is a journey that requires patience, empathy, and sometimes a shift in perspective. By focusing on your child's individual needs, communicating openly with educators, and fostering a supportive home environment, you can alleviate the stress of homework and help your child rediscover the joy of learning. Remember, you're not alone in this challenge, and seeking support from educational professionals can provide additional strategies and insights to navigate this common parenting hurdle. Many times, some parents question 🙍♀️ their role in supporting the therapeutic processes of their children 👨👩👧 , and although we know that it is not always easy, but we must say that the role they play is essential. ✅ Parental support is indispensable in child therapy. 🙌 By actively participating, providing a nurturing environment, and assuming their role as allies and advocates, parents can empower their children to overcome challenges, develop resilience, and thrive emotionally and socially. 🤹♀️ Together, parents and therapists can create a powerful 💪 support network that lays the foundation for a brighter, more resilient future for children in therapy. The importance of parental support cannot be overemphasized. 🙆♀️ When a child embarks on a therapeutic journey to address emotional, behavioral, or developmental issues, unwavering support and parental involvement are critical to the process. Here's why: The Parents 👫 - Can create a safe space 🤗 - Can build trust and connection 👩👦 - Can help improve communication 🗣 - Reinforce therapy at home 🏡 - Enhance family unity 👨👩👧👦 For this reason, at Neuronaut 🚀 we consider parents an active partner in the child's developmental journey, this participation is essential and we work together as a team: we train parents to be co-therapists at home and continue the child's progress. 📈 #parenting #therapy #speechtherapy #occupationaltherapy #kids

Reflections: my inner child In Our Loving Parent Therapy ~ In therapy, the therapist presents questions to focus on building relationships with our Inner Children. We then share our experience, strength, and hope on that topic. ~ Next we read passages that reinforce the concept - from books, articles, etc ~ We do exercises on the topic. ~ Then we read through a list of things we can do in the ensuing week to work on that aspect of recovery - outside of therapy ~ After that, we share what we have done to build a better relationship(s) with our Inner Children during the previous week. Our progress is ever-changing and evolving. It's a work in progress. We are never the same once we accept the commitment to heal and grow.
