In this excerpt, I discuss how critical it is to secure your existing client base in the current market. Some points I didn't get to cover off: 🔔 Agree your customer success metrics. What is important to your client in this contract? How will they measure success? Demonstrate RoI? 🔔 Ensure that onboarding goes smoothly. Is training needed? Critically are all license holders able to use the your technology? If a client isn't using your technology, why should they renew your contract. 🔔 Schedule regular business reviews. Not just at the point of renewal. 🔔 Engage with multiple stakeholders. Spoke with a client recently who told me the main reason they lose customers is because their Champion leaves the business. Whilst this can present a new sales opp, you need to demonstrate value to other parts of the business. Being reliant on one point of contact is a point of failure. 🔔 Discuss upsell and cross-sell opportunities. Understand their business so you know where you can add value. 🔔 Invite the client to your Customer Advisory Board. Link in the comments.
