Am delighted to have been invited, as the Founder of Action for Trustee Racial Diversity UK, by @WCVACymru to be a panellist at #gofod3 - the biggest event of its kind for the voluntary sector in Wales. Being held at Cardiff City Stadium, It brings together organisations from across the voluntary, public and private sectors to discuss and debate how the voluntary sector can make a difference to the lives of people in Wales. This year around 600 delegates are expected to attend. It's the first time gofod3 has taken place in-person since before the pandemic and it’s taking place during the 40th anniversary of Volunteers Week.
So what will we be discussing? What are the key make-or-break challenges facing the voluntary sector? How is our sector perceived and is that perception fair? What can the sector do or should do in Wales to meet its challenges, change perceptions and offer more value to service users, donors and funders? I and my peer panellists will be exploring themes such as the volunteer recruitment and retention crisis, fostering a healthy, diverse and resilient workforce, and building a sector that’s fit for the future. Not an unchallenging agenda. edrych ymlaen ato 🙂
