Industry Giants Launch Healthcare AI Accelerator to Streamline Transformation Healthcare giants Johns Hopkins Medicine, CareFirst, and Techstars have announced a collaborative 13-week accelerator program to fund and support up to a dozen healthcare AI startups at a time. Participating startups will each receive up to $120,000 from Techstars, as well as guidance and advisorship in navigating the industry and regulatory environment of the healthcare space. Currently announced members of the first class include: ✅ Healthtech, MedTech, and biotech companies working on AI tools ✅ Past Techstars healthcare portfolio like PillPack, Ovia Health, and Ginger Based in Baltimore, MD, the accelerator's first cadre will continue to accept applications through November 20th, with the program kicking off in March 2025. This initiative builds on growing investor interest in healthcare AI, which accounted for 34% of digital health funding in the first half of 2024 alone. GlenFlow is excited to see both academic and institutional VC leaders supporting the next wave of transformative healthcare AI startups.
