📢 Attention startup founders and deep tech enthusiasts in Europe! Y Combinator's latest startup request strongly focuses on Deep Tech (enabled) startups. More than half of these topics are rooted in deep tech, covering a broad range including AI, Machine Learning, Robotics, Defense Tech, Space Tech, Climate Tech, Spatial Computing, Blockchain/DLT, HealthTech, and BioTech. https://lnkd.in/dRgDqr4F This pivot towards deep tech by the world's most renowned startup incubator, historically known for nurturing software and platform startups, underscores the growing significance of these fields. It's a clear indicator of where future such programs are headed and a call to action for founders in these domains to bring their ideas to the forefront. But what does this mean for all existing incubator programs in Europe like Antler, Entrepreneur First, Plug and Play Tech Center, STATION F, Techstars etc.? Are those programs losing track and facing challenges in competing for tech talents? Or do we also expect short-term adaptations, like special tracks or calls for deep tech? I would love to see that!

Web3/Innovation Consultant @ IBM * VP Polish Blockchain Association * Co-Founder of the Tech of Tomorrow Conference * Featured in Strong Women in IT report 23’
I assume we all agree that the #tech field needs more #diversity - of talent, competences, approaches. Yet, that desirable level of diversity is not there yet. As a girl, I strongly fell for the stereotype that "IT is reserved for brainy scienc-y kids who love maths" 🤓. Looking back, I couldn't have been more wrong... Of course, technology needs scientists! But it also needs people with other competences and skills. So, to break the stereotypes that often hold us back and determine our future choices, we are starting a new initiative at the Polish Blockchain Association! 💪 Our program, called INNOVATORS OF TOMORROW, is dedicated to high school students who are yet to decide what career path they want to follow. We want to show them how inspiring, fascinating and welcoming to all talents the world of tech really is! 🚀 📣 They will learn about #innovative tech, such as: 🔸 #blockchain and #web3, #AI, #Internetofthings, #metaverse 🔹 real life examples of how these technologies are applied (in #smart #cities, #energy sector, #automation, #retail, new #economies) We will also equip students with hands-on skills so that they are able to convert their own creative ideas into real businesses! For example: 🔸 how to validate ideas via feedback loops and lean startup approaches 🔹 startup funding options 🔸 building a pitch deck and engaging in business storytelling In the end, students will have a chance to apply these skills and knowledge in a hands-on startup project! And the best thing is that the lessons will be delivered by experts from top-notch companies who, like us, care about raising the future generation of founders, entrepreneurs and Polish tech talent! KIR S.A. Fundacja Cyberium , PKO Bank Polski, Smart City Poznan, Grupa TAURON, Silesian Startup Foundation, Poznan University of Technology, zondacrypto, BSV Association - THANK YOU for supporting us and for caring! ❤️ More partners are yet to join! If you want to collaborate with us on this fantastic initiative, please contact us! Let's inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, like we would like to have been inspired back in the day... #inspiration #youngleaders #diversity #innovators #talent #skillsbuilding #transferableskills #newtechnology #poland #startups
