Great paper on a use case of #dlt in healthcare by Horst Treiblmaier and his colleagues: The paper discusses the complexities of managing healthcare data, highlighting the need to address various stakeholders' requirements. It presents insights from a panel discussion with healthcare professionals regarding the current state of healthcare data management and the potential role of blockchain technology in improving it. The paper proposes a comprehensive framework for healthcare data management, emphasizing the significance of patient data and addressing key areas such as trust, privacy, integrity, security, sharing, transfer, and interoperability. It also suggests several research questions to guide future blockchain-driven innovation in healthcare data management. #web3 #digitalassets

There are so many industries that could benefit from integrating blockchain into their operations due to its versatility, but one area that I find particularly interesting (and promising) is healthcare. You can look at any recent study and see that patients nowadays have fairly low trust in the healthcare system, but blockchain could have the potential to build that trust back. How? Well, a few examples... ⛓️ 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐲. Breaches are unfortunately quite common. Blockchain creates a secure, distributed ledger where patients can control access to their data. It allows them to grant specific permissions to different healthcare providers, ensuring their medical information is only accessed by authorized personnel. ⛓️ 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲. Currently, exchanging medical records between providers can be a complex and time-consuming process due to incompatible systems. Blockchain offers a standardized platform where all authorized participants can access a patient's complete medical history securely, regardless of the original provider. ⛓️ 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡. Blockchain can streamline clinical trials by creating a secure and verifiable platform for sharing patient data. Because it can be used to track and manage informed consent, it can also ensure ethical data collection practices. The healthcare systems we have in place now are not only damaging to patient and provider trust—by and large, they can often hinder the future of healthcare through their inefficiencies. But what if you want to check the funds approved by a specific address? How would you retrieve that information? Then, we specify the type of call we want in the "𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦" filter, in this case, 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦. In the resultant data, Approver and Token as aliases for the "𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮" and "𝘛𝘰" fields, respectively. These fields provide the address of the approver and the smart contract address of the token. Within the Arguments field, “𝘕𝘢𝘮𝘦” will provide the name of the argument and “𝘛𝘺𝘱𝘦” will provide the type of the argument. And within the Value field, we'll retrieve the argument's value based on its corresponding type. I hope you understood today’s query.
