This is a great talk highlighting key points of gender equity once achieving a seat at the leadership table. It is time to build stronger tables that make space for inclusivity.

These types of videos are largely ignored by men in positions of “power.” Many of my clients are WOMEN who founded their company or helped build their company. One CONSISTENT theme I’ve noticed in how they make HIRING decisions is that they VALUE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE as well as competent skills/ knowledge. If men don’t EMBODY emotional intelligence, it’s IMPOSSIBLE for them to “perceive” or value them in “another.” Our state of CONSCIOUSNESS defines the entire “subjective human experience,” period. DIVINE FEMININE ENERGY has never been APPRECIATED by mankind. Mankind has not yet learned that A BALANCE is necessary for “optimal functioning” of any "human" endeavor or natural phenomena in the Cosmos. This is one of the “tragic” truths of our collective history on Earth. Many millions of children are “parent less” in effect because both parents need to work. Both parents are psychologically and emotionally UNAVAILABLE to raise FULLY INTEGRATED CHILDREN (union of mind, body, and SOUL). The cycle of FRAGMENTATION continues causing unnecessary emotions of PAIN, confusion, and insecurity … alienation ... lack of meaning ... Fragmented adults/parents raise fragmented children. The CHAOS “out there” is due to internal CHAOS. Let’s hope that fragmented children RECEIVE SUPPORT somewhere on their life journey to shine WISDOM on their learning path. MENTAL HEALTH = SPIRITUAL HEALTH

This is something I wouldn’t normally post, but I stumbled upon this #tedtalk and it kind of put into words what I had witnessed observing few of the “big boys tables” in my career. I am all against giving women, or any other “group” opportunities only to fill the quota of equality, and therefore simply a “PR reason”. Not to mention, that some specialties naturally will have less pool of specific gender talents - although arguments of why that is, also are plenty, and majority around unequal playing field and therefore EQUITY rather that EQUALITY issue. However, plenty of examples here of how once you are there, the table simply isn’t built the right way. One being around giving women tasks that are geared towards care/community/equality/talent acquisition - which yes, some could argue women are naturally better equipped to do, and perhaps more women than men decide to study and pursue career in this such important field, but those aren’t our ONLY talents (minute 13) Let’s think- how many companies can we mention that have C-level exec in HR that isn’t a woman, or to my point that the only woman filled C-level position isn’t HR. Things are definitely in a better place than 20years ago, but there is still a long way to go. Being part of the “boys club” is not what women want, nor should any woman be made feel grateful for simply having the seat. Women want to be recognized for what they bring to the table, not because they are women 🧐. Don’t hire women to fill the quota, hire women because they are the talent you are looking for and then, also ensure you are investing in their further potential as much as you do for the rest of the “club” #RedesignTheTablePlease

This resonated! "The world is one big, small town." Apart from work, I chose to log out of my personal social channels the other month for a bit (NOTE: this is not me trying to act like an influencer with an announcement post that I'm taking a 'digital detox', I know I'm really not that big a deal 😂 ). I was finding that I was doom scrolling so much and was shown one of the following: 1. A friend or family member posting their polished pictures 2. A post from someone I was 'recommended to follow' 3. A sponsored ad trying to sell me something To be honest, numbers 2 and 3 were coming up more than the one that was more important - updates from family and friends. I'm all up for sharing life updates, nice photos etc, but I definitely think social media forces you to potentially overshare or post unnecessarily - keep fuelling the machine or get left behind (aka we'll stop putting your posts in your friend's newsfeeds when you do actually share something). It also can create a facade that everyone's doing great all the time, when actually they may not be, and are in fact having good days and bad days, just like the rest of us. Share, don't share, do what you like, but only what you're cool with. Also, don't judge your behind the scenes on everyone else's curated starring moments - what came a split second before and after the photo could be a whole different picture 😉
