Building #Wearescience. A non-scientist with a new Philosophy and Sociology of Science. FOUNDER OF - Conversational Science Communication ( CSC) & Global Scientific Linguistics ( GSL)
Physicist Brian Green is so into #sciencecommunication ! He wants you to have the #knowledge that he does and thats science communication ! We have to know about this world we live in. The planes, trains automobiles. The hospitals and hospitality and hotels too ; yes, thats science too !! Your child is science too ! You dont know anything about where she has come from except #embryology #cellbiology #microbiology #systemsbiology #molecularbiology #genomics #genetics #evolutionarybiology #evolutionarypsychology #neurology #physiology #psychology #hematology #scatology ( study of excrement) #opthalmology ( study of eyes) #otology ( study of ears) #neurology ( study of nerves) #neuroscience ( study of brain) #dentistry ( study of teeth) #vascularstudies ( veins and arteries) #neuromorphology ( form, shape and structure of nervous system) #trichology ( hair and scalp) #urology ( urinary track) #paleoanthropology #subatomicparticlephysics #quantumphysics #quantumchromodynamics ( #youngsheldon ! ) #astrophysics #astrobiology definition of basic human organs given because thats who we are but we are all about everything everywhere because everything effects us AND us means every human being living in diffdrent parts of the world and we also have to know #space : #time - see video! The SCIENTIST and SCIENCE are pursuing #truth and #justice - yes justice has to be part of science ultimately because equitable distribution of opportunities is scientific and biggest duty of humanity and thats were #anthropology or evolution or evolving comes in. How can you get rid of reasons of mental or physical disease without justice ? #epistemology or all discipline that contribute and develop justice are science too. Even Yoga, practicing bravery and kindness - anything that helps humanity and is just is science. science = justice = equality = humanity = peace = prosperity = happiness ! #scientifictemper #scientificvalues #scientificmethod 👇 #ershadspeak #puresciencepurifies UNEDITED

Did you ever wonder why we need to sleep ? Did you know everyone hallucinates? Interested to know more? Go to see the new exhibition #hellobrain #thefranciscrickinstitute and check out @ChocolateFilms blog below about the opening #filmproduction #film #sciencefacts #scientificresearch
Last night we went to the opening of the amazing new 'Hello Brain!' exhibition at the Crick. It's a fantastic experience that makes neuroscience accessible to those of us who aren't brain scientists. And it features two new short docs produced by us. Check out our blog: https://lnkd.in/d9XyqwHx #museumofthefuture #documentary #neuroscience

Exploring the frontiers of science often leads to fascinating theories that challenge our understanding of what we call reality. This article delves into the intriguing possibility that quantum mechanics could be the key to unlocking the mysteries of consciousness. It’s a thought-provoking read that invites us to consider the profound implications of quantum processes within our own brains. With each passing day, the intersection between quantum physics and consciousness is becoming less and less "uncongested." https://lnkd.in/dq-iUFg5

Strategic Consultant in Neuroscience and Behaviour | Innovation Director at Hidden Pearls | Visiting Research Fellow at King’s College London
Recently, I’ve wandered into the Hello Brain exhibition at The Francis Crick Institute, curious about how such an esteemed research institution would present neuroscience to the public. The friendly atmosphere and positive vibes set the tone for an immersive journey into the complexities of the human brain. Among the exhibits, one stood out to me: a model of a Purkinje cell placed next to Santiago Ramón y Cajal’s original drawings (I forgot to take a picture, sorry!). This display clearly visualised how complex ONE neuron can be, and we house billions in our skulls. It was a very clear message to the visitor next to the original anatomic depictions with respect to the pioneer. A surprising takeaway for me was seeing that capibaras have unexpectedly complex brain structures. I expected their brain to be more smooth, like koalas. I owe capibaras an apology. This also shows that this exhibition is worth visiting, even to those deeper in the field than the general public. The exhibition’s approach to neuroscience was clear, aesthetically pleasing, and devoid of the clutter often seen in scientific displays. This visual elegance enhanced my understanding and inspired me to consider the importance of effective scientific communication. We have a lot to learn from the designers of this exhibition! I highly recommend visiting this exhibition to anyone interested in neuroscience or the art of scientific communication. It’s an opportunity not to be missed and will be available until December 4th, 2024. #neuroscience #sciencecommunication #hellobrain #scienceart #stemeducation #brainawareness #innovativeexhibitions

Principal Investigator at Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour | Tenured Associate Professor at Radboud University
📣 Publication Alert 📣 I'm delighted to share our new paper, "The Morphospace of Brain-Cognition Organisation," which has just been published in Nature Portfolio Communications. Special congratulations to Dr Valentina Pacella, our brilliant first author, whose dedication and hard work were key to the success of this project. Big shout out to the whole team — Victor Nozais, Lia Talozzi, Majd Abdallah, Demian Wassermann, Michel Thiebaut de Schotten. In this study, we reveal the latent structure of brain-cognition knowledge using the largest meta-analytic #fMRI database (Neurosynth). Our neuron-shaped morphospace captures the relationships between brain functions, predicting activation patterns for unseen functions and decoding inner states during activities like #movie watching. We hope this framework will inspire future investigations into the fabric of #human #cognition. 🔗 Read the full paper here: https://lnkd.in/eCA5P9kD 📹 Watch the Paperpitch: https://lnkd.in/eni3wYJy 📹 Video: https://lnkd.in/e6TSxJdd #Neuroscience #CognitiveScience #BrainResearch #TeamScience #Collaboration #ProudMoment

Happy Birthday Rosalind Franklin Rosalind Franklin was born on July 25, 1920 in London. She contributed to the discovery of the molecular structure of the DNA. The 1962 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded to Francis Crick, James Watson and Maurice Wilkins, recognizing their work in discovering the structure of DNA. Not included in the Prize was Rosalind Franklin, a scientist whose research made essential contributions to the Nobel Prize winners understanding of DNA. Franklin’s contributions included key images of DNA, taken with these imaging techniques. X-ray crystallography allows analysis of atomic structures not visible with traditional light microscopy. Through these images, Franklin realized that she was seeing two forms of DNA. #icmr #moleculerbiology #biotech #dnabiology #dnastructure

It has long been understood that compared to many animals, humans are helpless for a long time after birth. But are human babies really has "helpless" as we think? Dr. Christine Charvet, Auburn Vet Med assistant professor in neuroscience, is part of a research team that has found for the first time that the classic explanation for infant helplessness is not supported by modern brain data. 🧠 Learn more about this breakthrough: https://lnkd.in/e4rfJpNs
