Teichert Construction is proud to be recognized by United Contractors with a R.E.A.L. Safety award “Most Unique Safety Project” for our stellar safety performance on the Maple Street Project in Redwood City that included complete reconstruction of Maple Street, a BCDC Bay Area Trail connection along the waterfront, and the extension of Blomquist Street from Maple Street to Redwood Creek. This program Recognizes Excellence, Awareness, and Leadership in safety within the construction industry. At Teichert, safety isn’t just a priority, it’s a commitment we make on every project. In spite of this being a technically challenging project performing structural excavation over a live 48-inch sewer force main serving 220,000 people and having to utilize a 210-ton crane to place and assemble pre-cast box culvert sections each weighing about as much as school bus, we completed the project (8,292 man hours) without incident or injury. Congratulations to all this year’s award winners! #Teichert #TeichertConstruction #TeichertFamilyofCompanies #BuildingTrustTradition #Since1887
