Check out these snapshots from Teichert Construction's recent project at the Porterville Airport! Our team completed rehabilitation work on the taxiways and connected new ones to the runway, involving extensive grading and paving. The aircraft you see are CalFire planes. Porterville Airport serves as the home of the Air Attack Base, where the US Forest Service and CalFire work together to protect the southern Sierra Mountains. #TeichertConstruction #TeichertFamilyofCompanies #BuildingTrustTradition #Since1887

Safety first and safety foremost where partnerships matter!
Melbourne's iconic Bolte Bridge was the site of a unique intersection of aviation and energy expertise, with the successful removal of four marker ball flashers on the Bridge’s overhead transmission power lines. The marker balls, each measuring one metre in diameter and weighing two to five kilograms, were originally installed in 1997 to aid Police Air Wing navigation. Due to their age, the marker balls – which were bolted to transmission lines over 27 years ago – were removed for the ongoing safety of motorists and the community. The recent operation saw us team up with our trusted delivery partner, Zinfra, with a linesworker in a specialist helicopter navigating the cityscape to remove the devices. This required careful handling given their size and high altitude, not to mention nerves of steel! 🚁💪 Thanks to Transurban and the Department of Transport and Planning for their support to make the operation a success. This COTS CC roadway does not require bridge debris removal, but it does require placement of COTS CC in possibly deeper than 11ft waters. We are drawing a new concept roadway that is adjacent to shore in 11ft deep water to intercept the 695 Interstate Freeway before the elevated section. COTS Tower Cranes could be positioned on the presumably strong freeway surface to reach out to the Sparrows Point side of the closed Interstate. Ships can "dock???" along side the Interstate. (COTS CC wharf can assist with wharf structure) The Tower Cranes can be tall enough to unload/load the tallest ultra-large container ships without concerns for bidge debris and channel depth. Trucks & RORO cars can begin travel using north bound 695 Interstate OR COTS CC roadway in 11ft deep water along shore to Dundalk Marine Terminal car storage area. (aisle J & K).

a product which can definitely rely upon
Powered by Baudouin M26.3 marine propulsion engine line, with combined operating power of up to 2400 hp. Carrying up to 9 million passengers annually, the New York City Ferry service operates 27 vessels across six routes which span a total of 60 nautical miles of waterways connecting all the major boroughs of New York City. The service required a reliable, high powered engine range that the city could depend upon and Baudouin engine technology was the perfect solution. “REGENT lands major order for 27 #allelectricseagliders to advance #coastalmobility ” #VESSELS September 27, 2024, - Sara Kosmajac “UrbanLink Air Mobility, a South Florida-based air mobility company, has placed an order for 27 #allelectric #seagliders from REGENT Craft, a compatriot manufacturer of all-electric seagliders for #sustainablemaritimemobility , aiming to ‘advance’ multi-modal #electrictransportation ecosystems in coastal areas.” “Under the agreement, UrbanLink will operate REGENT’s flagship Viceroy seagliders, 12-passenger vessels that can travel up to 180 miles on a single charge.” “Seagliders are new type of #maritimevessel that operate a few meters above the surface of the water by combining the higher speeds of a light #aircraft with the low operating costs of a #vessel .” “REGENT’s all-electric seagliders are described as a type of vessels that cut down on the time and the cost of transporting both people and goods between coastal regions.” “The #hydrofoiling #winginground (#WIG) craft combines modern technology from a number of industries – including #electricpropulsion , #hydrofoils , modern vehicle controls, and fly-by-wire systems. This is said to provide wave tolerance, safe operations, and passenger comfort.”” https://lnkd.in/e9way2Wb Source- original post Read all my posts #MariusPreston

Happy Tuesday, LinkedIn community! Today at SPIG Industry, we’re shaking things up with some trivia! Did you know guardrails are more fascinating than you might think? Here are three fun facts about guardrails that might surprise you: 1. Ancient Origins: The concept of guardrails dates back thousands of years. Ancient civilizations used stone and wood barriers to protect pedestrians and vehicles (well, chariots back then!) on pathways and roads. Today’s guardrails are the modern descendants of these early safety measures. 2. Safety by Design: Modern guardrails are engineered to absorb and redirect the kinetic energy of a colliding vehicle, minimizing damage and preventing the vehicle from veering off course. It’s all about creating a safer road environment by design, reducing the severity of accidents. 3. Versatility and Innovation: Guardrails are not just for roads; they are used in various settings, including bridges, parking lots, and even in some buildings. Innovations in guardrail technology continue to enhance their effectiveness and adaptability, making them an integral part of our daily safety. At SPIG Industry, we’re proud to contribute to the evolution and implementation of guardrail systems, enhancing safety for all. Stay safe and stay curious! #TriviaTuesday #GuardrailFacts #SafetyFirst #SPIGIndustry
