I help major gift fundraisers to multiply results (and have fun doing it) with systems, psychology, sanity, and sacredness.
My wife and I love watching the Great British Baking Show (you can find it on Netflix). It’s a reality show where amateur bakers from around the United Kingdom compete against each other to be crowned the UK’s Best Amateur Baker. It’s hilarious, emotional, stressful, and hunger-inducing. One of my favorite segments is the “technical challenge” where the contestants are given a few key ingredients with minimal measurements and instructions for how to complete the challenge (such as Treacle Pudding, which turned out to be one of the hardest technical challenges ever on the show). Many of the technical challenges are not nearly as hard as Treacle Pudding, but the greatest bakers know how to mix the recommended ingredients to create something special and memorable, AND hopefully receive the all-elusive-hand-shake from Paul Hollywood. I issued a technical challenge of sorts this week related to crafting small events to cultivate major gifts for your cause. Search for #breakthruevents to find the three key ingredients I suggested (minus some of the more detailed instructions and nuances). If you would like a little more collaboration on how to get the best result from your event, schedule a free 30 minute call with me to talk further (https://lnkd.in/duEhJdby). That may be plenty, but if you need more time, my sessions are $400 for up to 90 minutes each. It is hard to overstate the potential return on investment of your time and resources on this. #majorgifts #smallevents #invitation #keyingredients #preparation #learning #investing #fundraising

IT’S GRILL TO GIVE DAY!!🍔🌭 We’re cooking up some hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken for a few homeless and an assisted living home. …and once again, I’m pausing my vegan diet to partake in some juicy grilled turkey sausage. 😂😉😋 The best thing about Grill to Give is that you can join in the fun as well. Here’s how: 1. Grill 10 extra hamburgers or hot dogs. 2. Package them with chips, water, and a dessert. 3. Give them to someone in need of food. Your generosity can make a big difference in someone's day. If you choose to give, please remember to: - Exercise safety - Use the buddy system - Stay hydrated Let's spread the love and help our neighbors! Share your efforts with us using the hashtag #Grill2Give. Together, we can grill for a cause! 🌭🍔❤️ #Grill2Give #IndependenceDay #GiveBack #Community #4thofJuly 👍 Like and 🔄 Share to spread the word!
