162,000 people per year are diagnosed with some form of cancer. That’s why this July I will be running 162km in the hope to raise money for various cancer charities. I have started to strategise: How many Km’s per day do I want to run? How many days a week & what rest days do I take? What if I get injured throughout? The reality is, these 162,000 people didn’t get a choice or much of a strategy. The plan is to just run……… If you want to support, please see link below. https://lnkd.in/g3hWjGVx

This spirit of service, instilled in me by my Lolo, has served as the cornerstone of my journey in making a difference in the lives of others,” says Isabella. The fundraiser has had over 1,000 participants and raised over $30,000 for #StandUpToCancer. 🧡 THANK YOU, Smash Cancer Loyola, for your contribution to SU2C’s mission! 100% of your donations received supports Stand Up To Cancer and our collaborative cancer research programs – bringing new treatments to patients now.

Our Implementation Manager, Solomon Fazel, will be participating in the Race for Life 10K run for Cancer Research on Sunday 28th July 2024. The Race for Life reminds us that "No matter how cancer affects us, life is worth Racing for." Organised by Cancer Research UK (CRUK), this series of fundraising events brings people together to walk, jog, or run, raising money for research and honouring those affected by cancer. At DKK Partners, one of our core brand values is to Embrace Change, seeking improvement, adapting to challenges, and supporting impactful initiatives. Solomon demonstrates this by participating in the Race for Life, combining personal growth with supporting cancer research. He shared, “I am currently in the process of bettering myself and trying to become as fit as possible. Benefiting a good cause while also bettering myself is a perfect way to do so. As someone who has had family members diagnosed and die from cancer, I am honored to participate in an event that supports the research needed to eventually find the cure for cancer.” Click here to donate: https://lnkd.in/eehfxxYh #Raceforlife #Raceforlife2024 #Raceforlife10K #CancerResearch #embracechange #dkkpartners #fx #finance #fintech #emergingmarkets #foreignexchange #exchangerates

I have signed up to cycle 300 miles in June to raise funds for Cancer Research to support the fight against cancer. I have set myself a target of £150 but it would be amazing if we could double that (only £1 a mile!) Every contribution makes a difference – please consider donating to help advance lifesaving research. £25 could either buy 500 plastic test tubes, 5 boxes of gloves, 5 beakers, or a Bunsen burner, which are the understated tools of many experiments. £50 can pay for chemicals called restriction enzymes, which cut long strands of DNA, allowing scientists to find out more about the genes that cause cancer. Early diagnosis is essential to getting the right treatment to people with cancer. £100 could pay for a cancer biopsy. £150 could fund a team of researchers in Manchester for half a day. £200 can buy DNA nucleotides, something scientists use to make copies of genes, giving clues about how things go wrong in cancer. #CancerResearch #Fundraiser

🏃🏼♀️In just one week, I'll be hitting the Mallorca trails for a cause close to my heart: cancer research. As I gear up for the trail marathon, I'm reminded of the importance of both planning and strategy – not just in athletics, but in life and business too. Just as every step counts in training, every detail matters in our plans and strategies. 📝 Whether it's drafting a business proposal or preparing for a marathon, having a solid plan in place can make all the difference. It's about setting clear goals, mapping out the path to reach them, and staying adaptable along the way. 🙌 With the race just around the corner, there's still time to show your support and make a difference. Let's come together and make an impact in the fight against cancer. 🎗️ If you'd like to contribute to this important cause, you can donate directly in the link. Thank you for your support – together, we can make a difference! #CancerResearch #Fundraiser #Planning #Strategy #RaceDay

LinkedIn friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers, I’ve decided to lace up my running shoes again this month, embrace the sweat, and run 100 miles in July for a cause close to my heart: Cancer Research UK (CRUK), with a specific focus on early diagnosis as in most cases the earlier we diagnose Cancer, the greater our chance of beating it. Coming up to the end of week two, I'm on 29 miles, but I'll be past 50 by the end of the week and on track to hit 100 and beyond! I'm proud to say that I'm not doing this challenge alone. I'm joined by some absolute legends from work: Rob Winter, Sophie Andrews, Catherine Gwilliam, Ben Leslie, Garry Hughes, Nick Loxton & Olly Simpson. Why 100 miles? Because running 101 seemed excessive...... My Goal? To raise £500. That's £5 from 100 people or £10 from 50 people, or, well, you get the idea. Every penny counts, and your support, as always, keeps me going and raises funds for this worthy cause. How Can You Help? Donate: Any amount, big or small, will make a huge difference. Even the cost of a coffee could be a step towards beating cancer. Share: Spread the word like you’re sharing the latest viral cat video. The more people who know, the more we can raise! Join me on this journey and make these 100 miles count! Together, we can do our bit to raise money that could be life-changing to so many. Please donate now and track my sweaty journey here: https://lnkd.in/eiC_rhiP Thank you from the bottom of my soon-to-be-tired feet. 🙏 #CancerResearchUK #100MilesInJuly #EarlyDiagnosis #RunningForACause #HelpMeOutrunCancer #CRUK #Fundraising

Countdown to Impact: 5 Days Left in the April Head and Neck Cancer Alliance Move-a-thon 🏃♀️🙏 As the sun sets on this pivotal month, our shared journey of compassion and support takes on a more urgent pace. There are just 5 days left to contribute to a cause that’s much more than a statistic; it's a lifeline for those battling head and neck cancer. I set out with an ambition – a concise, yet significant goal of raising $150 through the Move-a-thon. This sum symbolizes hope – the equivalent of a night at a hotel for a travelling patient or easing the burden covering some essentials on treatment day. Each donation is a beacon of comfort, providing essentials like a gas card, parking, lunch, and sometimes the priceless gift of child care. While the road ahead is paved with possibility, the present moment reflects a challenging truth. I currently stand at 83% of my fundraising target. "The distance between where we are and where we aspire to be is measured not in miles but in moments of generosity." I humbly ask you to consider the value of your daily coffee – could it instead fund a gesture of immense value? A few dollars could mean the world to someone enduring the most challenging fight of their life. Together, we can fill these last few days with action and purpose. Let's rally to offer more than just relief; let’s provide a sanctuary of support for at least one patient in need. To donate, simply click on the link https://lnkd.in/e_d95i2c Your contribution, no matter the size, will weave into the tapestry of someone’s survival story. Let's make these remaining days count! Thank you for standing with me, for them. #HeadAndNeckCancer #HNCA #Moveathon #Support #Donate #CancerCare #MakeADifference
