The demands don't stop, so your standards better be climbing! 📈 In the ever-evolving world of B2B marketing, the need for true leadership and exceptional teamwork is bigger than ever. As Joseph reflects on his journey to Fame, he often ponders, how do we make our team even better? The key thing is always believing in the "we", not I; the wider group as a collective. We can only grow together. How do we achieve this? How about: - Nurturing relationships - Strong convictions - Faith in abilities - Training calls - Mini deep dives Leadership and teamwork are about setting the stage for success and then stepping back to let the team shine. He serves, supports, and steers our collective effort, ensuring everyone feels empowered to contribute their best. The journey is ongoing, but the progress we've made reaffirms our belief in this approach. And what does Joseph tell his team at the end of the week? “Enjoy yourself! Slainte!”

Myles Munroe once said, "The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without purpose." As a leader, it's your responsibility to ensure that your team is not only working towards a common goal but also that each member understands how their contribution fits into the bigger picture. Instilling purpose within your team involves more than just setting goals and delegating tasks. It requires effective communication, active listening, and a genuine interest in your team members' personal and professional growth. By providing feedback, coaching, and opportunities for development, you can help your team members see how their work aligns with the company's mission and values. As a leader, it's also important to lead by example and show your team that you're invested in the work you're doing. By demonstrating passion and enthusiasm for your work, you can inspire your team to do the same. Remember, purpose-driven teams are more engaged, productive, and committed to achieving their goals. By instilling purpose within your team, you not only help your team members grow but also contribute to the success of your organization.

This is a well written blog on the ways a person needs to adapt when moving into a leadership role with direct reports. As a leader you will have to embrace tough decisions, be open to feedback (both positive and negative), and have difficult conversations. Focusing on clear and transparent communication, empowering your team to own the work they do and occasionally fail, and developing a culture of continuous learning and improvement will set your team up for long term success. In the end the joy, satisfaction, and appreciation you feel for what your team accomplishes and the personal growth of each member of your team is what makes being in a leadership role unique compared to an individual contributor role.

What do you know that you could become professionally famous for knowing? Cracking the ceiling commercially as a thought leader requires a few particular things for everyone - and the occasional specific thing for someone. One important distinction for most people we meet is to make the move from being process-focused and instead to becoming perspective-focused. Happy factories make great products and delight customers. The only way to drive sustainable change is to know where the system needs rewiring and then change the behaviour to run the upgraded system. Chasm was born out of a frustration at seeing organisations waste money either on non-sustainable operational improvement projects or ‘sheep dip’ training and development programmes, neither of which fix the underlying problems. Happy factories run on Chasm’s OpEx. We bring systems, control, excellence in manufacturing IT, training and the horsepower to make it happen. By putting in the right systems, giving people the skills to drive operational improvement, improving leadership and culture we enable factories to make sustainable change, improve productivity and increase profitability. #peopleandprocesses #manufacturing #wefixfactories #operationalexcellence
Chasm work with a select group of interim leaders who turn to us to support them to realise their vision which they just cannot deliver without expert horsepower. Kevin Anderson is one we have worked with on numerous occasions and have huge respect for. The link in the comments shares the story of first breakthrough project that Martyn and he worked on.

Paul Rothschild (Leading with Conviction™ 2024 participant) writes, “Any position where we have to hide our past or fear that coworkers will find us out is a position that diminishes us and makes us less. A true second chance builds us up, makes us whole, and honors the pain we have been through and our efforts to transform that pain into purpose.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/gtSjpbTm #SecondChances #SecondChanceMonth
