Historic day today with NOVO Energy’s Cornerstone Cermony of the company’s Giga Factory in Gothenburg! The factory construction started 2023 and is aimed to be operational 2026, construction already 1 month ahead of plan. The future of our industry is e-Mobility. This also has an effect on our worldwide spare parts network, whose centre is based in Salzgitter/Germany. This week, there has been the groundbreaking ceremony for its expansion. When the expansion is completed, there will be 52,650 square metres of additional storage space, bringing the total to more than 230,000 square metres. Almost 200,000 parts are stored in Salzgitter. More than 95 percent of all order items are delivered the following day. The logistics centre is a workplace for 800 employees - and the centre of the global spare parts network. "The logistics centre ensures that our customers all over the world are supplied quickly and reliably. In future, we will also ship parts and spare parts for our e-vehicles from here - including batteries and battery parts. This also strengthens MAN in Lower Saxony and the Salzgitter site," says MAN Chief Production and Logistics Officer Michael Kobriger.
