Saving over 2 million tons of water from 2015 to 2024 👏🏼 Through measures such as precise bottle washing techniques, instantaneous sterilization technology, and water recycling, the Dali Brewery in China has achieved a remarkable 42% reduction in water consumption, equivalent to 2 million tons of water, from 2015 to 2024. The brewery has also reached zero wastewater discharge, recycling the wastewater for sanitation and grounds maintenance. This achievement is part of Carlsberg China’s continued efforts to drive water efficiency across all our breweries. Overall, our water usage efficiency reached 2.1 hl/hl in 2024 in China, representing a 45.7% reduction since 2015, saving over 50 million tons of water from 2015 to 2024. A huge thank you to Team China for their dedication and hard work in reaching this milestone. Together, we’re brewing for a better today and tomorrow! Did you know that Carlsberg’s reach spans all corners of the globe? Since 1966, we've been proudly partnering with incredible companies like Photos Photiades Group in Cyprus, where we launched our first-ever licensing collaboration. It’s more than just a business relationship—it’s a shared journey built on trust, innovation, and a passion for quality beer! Most recently, we partnered to serve 5,000 cold, alcohol-free Carlsberg 0.0 beers to 15,000 runners and 20,000 spectators at the Larnaka Marathon. This event is just one example of how we’re bringing our signature alcohol-free brews to the world in exciting ways, and it aligns with our ambitious global target: By 2040, 35% of the beers we sell worldwide will be low-alcohol or alcohol-free, and that includes all our license markets. 💡 Curious about where we are on our journey #TowardsZERO irresponsible drinking? Our Laos business will reach its net-zero emissions target five years ahead of schedule! Lao Brewery Company is taking a step towards a greener future with a new biomass energy factory. Developed in partnership with VN Green Energy Company, the new biomass facility will replace fossil fuels with steam at the Vientiane Brewery - reducing our dependence on fossil-fuel generated energy. This initiative aligns with the Lao government’s push for renewable energy adoption and contributes significantly to Carlsberg Group’s ambition of net-zero brewing by 2030. "LBC’s transition to biomass energy is a fantastic example of how our breweries can take steps to reduce emissions and create lasting change," our CEO, Jacob Aarup-Andersen, said when he attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony in Laos this month. "Carlsberg is committed to setting new standards in sustainability across all our markets, supporting global and local efforts to drive a low-carbon future," he added. 💡 Curious about where we are on our journey #TowardsZERO carbon footprint? "My advice for those in sustainability roles is clear: build strong alliances with finance." Our CFO Ulrica Fearn argues that ESG and finance are NOT separate worlds. "CFOs and finance teams are experts in managing risks, gauging investment opportunities, and ensuring our companies can navigate safely in often uncertain terrain," she says. "Truth be told, these are precisely the skill sets needed to accelerate and imbed ESG into decision-making processes." Learn more about her reasoning and dive into why embedding ESG into the business is important, anyway - a race to tap into trillions of dollars 😱 👇🏼

🌍 Exciting News! 💧 We have expanded our partnership with WaterAid India to support water conservation projects in communities surrounding Carlsberg breweries in three new Indian regions. The partnership now extends to 30 villages, known as Gram Panchayats, across West Bengal, Telangana, and Maharashtra, benefiting 51,000 individuals. This initiative involves active community participation, focusing on groundwater recharge, improved water-use efficiency, and sustainable water management practices. The program is expected to conserve over 320,000 m3 of water annually. Recognizing water as a key ingredient in brewing, we are committed to replenishing the same amount of water we consume at our breweries through off-site projects with local communities and ecosystems. Carlsberg India first partnered with WaterAid India in 2023 to improve access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene in Mysuru, Karnataka. The ongoing Mysuru project has already positively impacted over 34,000 individuals and is projected to replenish 85,000 m3 of water annually upon completion. “Our collaboration with WaterAid fosters a resilient future by promoting community-led water conservation efforts. Staying true to our philosophy of brewing for a better tomorrow, we are dedicated to building a lasting and sustainable future for the communities around our breweries,” says Nilesh Patel, Managing Director of Carlsberg India. 💡 Curious about where we are on our journey #TowardsZERO water waste? At the current rate of progress, it will take until 2158—roughly five generations from now—to reach full gender parity. This is according to data from the World Economic Forum. That’s why this year’s #IWD2025 theme, Accelerate Action, is a call to push for real, lasting change. Our CFO, Ulrica Fearn, shares: "Every day is an opportunity to value and respect the diversity of the people around us. International Women’s Day continues to allow us to both reflect and raise awareness about how far we’ve come—but also how much more we can achieve together." "It’s a chance to continue to ask tough questions, challenge biases, and ensure we drive for lasting change. Raising awareness around IWD is not just the right thing to do—it’s essential for sustainable growth and success!," she adds. To celebrate, over 300 of our employees have come together in a powerful visual statement of support for IWD. This video serves as a reminder that progress happens when we stand together. Here’s to all the incredible colleagues who inspire change every day and drive our growth 🙏🏼🍻 #IWD2025

Today someone VERY important to our legacy (and beer!) is turning one year older. A massive happy birthday to the old brewer, Carl Jacobsen. The son of our Founder, who helped globalize Carlsberg and made it what it is today! #Carlsberg #Heritage #BrewingHistory
