A long overdue life update! I am excited to share that this month, I:   1) Successfully defended my MS thesis which was a qualitative exploration into the well-being and challenges of international digital humanitarian aid workers 2) Officially graduated with my MS degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology 3) Recently moved back to Seattle to join the Run Research Team at Brooks Running as their newest Run Perception Intern!   I'm looking forward to strengthening my applied research skills, learning more about product research and development, helping more people "Run There", and combining my love of Brooks products and running with my passion for research. #BrooksLife #LetsRunThere

Can a week at a summer camp change a life? 🏕 Here's how this summer transformed both children and parents! This summer, I had the joy of watching four shy city 8-year-olds blossom into confident leaders at our 'Leadership and Creativity' summer camp. By week's end, these girls were at home in nature, embracing cultural differences and fully engaging in camp activities. From s'mores under the stars to embracing the buzz of insects, the girls found comfort in nature. American and European girls shared their worlds, learning to balance worry and care with candid conversations. One girl, who was homesick last year, took charge by leading sports activities and guiding others. The real challenge, however, was for the mothers. They were understandably worried about their little girls being away from home for so long! But I am proud of them for trusting us to provide freedom and autonomy to their children. Despite some drama during the week, the support from parents was a big help! Parents who come to our camps aren't just looking to send their child away for a week. They seek an experience for their child and themselves, driving hours to visit, get to know me, and spend time at the camp. They are involved, interested, and participate fully in the experience they offer to their child. Our camps aren't just about fun (though there's plenty of that!). They're real-world laboratories where kids and all participants: - Develop critical thinking skills - Learn teamwork and communication through projects like "Leadership and Creativity" - Gain hands-on experience in various fields - Build resilience and autonomy What was your most memorable summer camp experience?
