As we wrap up an exciting preseason for the Carolina Panthers, we want to thank our incredible team for their hard work, diligence and enthusiasm in bringing Training Camp to Charlotte for the first time ever. Thanks to the efforts of our staff and the unwavering support of the community, this year has truly been one to remember! 

The David and Nicole Tepper Foundation and the Carolina Panthers teamed up to fill 35,000 backpacks with school supplies to help local kids in need gear up for the new school year at Classroom Central's 3rd Annual Backpack Build. Early professionals and college students from the greater Charlotte area gathered to hear about the importance of corporate social responsibility from local business leaders, including our Chief People Officer, Kakisha "Kisha" Smith, PHR. Thanks to Councilmember Watlington, along with the City of Charlotte and Charlotte Center City Partners for convening all the panelists and attendees and providing the platform for knowledge sharing. 

Congratulations to the newest class of Tepper Scholars. In 2020, David and Nicole Tepper established the scholarship at the University of South Carolina to provide an enriching college experience for sport and entertainment management students. We're proud to offer rotational internships for each scholar, including opportunities for mentorship and professional development at our organization. Welcome to the team! 

We are pleased to announce that David Dickerson, CPA has joined Tepper Sports & Entertainment as our new SVP and Chief Financial Officer. David brings strong financial acumen and exceptional leadership that he has gained through a diverse global career guiding both public and private companies across an array of sectors, including global manufacturing, public utility, and technology services. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is a Certified Public Accountant. His experience and insights will be invaluable as we continue to deliver world-class entertainment to the Carolinas.  Welcome to the team, David!

In celebration of Pride, we’re highlighting Jill Cole, Community Relations Manager at the Carolina Panthers. As the co-lead for PRIDE, our Employee Resource Group for LGBTQ+ staff members and allies, Jill embodies our organizational value of Inclusion. In her role, she emphasizes the importance of allyship to foster a welcoming work environment because we know we’re better together. Although Pride is celebrated in June, we strive to be supportive and mindful of the LGBTQ+ community throughout the year. “There’s a misunderstanding that you have to be a member of the LGBTQ+ community to be an ally but that’s not true,” she continued. “It’s about being a support system, a friend, an advocate and ultimately, a teammate.”  #PrideMonth
