Addressing the issue of ports' connectivity, capacity & space is essential to support the significant opportunities that offshore wind presents to the UK. This involves a multifaceted stakeholder approach to expand existing port infrastructure including berths, storage and access, while minimizing the environmental impact from both a construction and operational perspective. The impact of the considerable space requirements and associated environmental footprint is one that ELIRE Infra identified, and our SmartHubs have been developed as a solution to this. #infrastructure #environment #innovation

Advocate for a globally competitive #AUSTRALIANFUSIONENERGYINDUSTRY with strategic communications expertise.
Best invest in Building and talking about Fusion power, space, and maritime propulsion systems and industry as data centres are. You talk about Nuclear (meaning Fission) and fail to discuss fusion. https://lnkd.in/ge_aeX7M The nuclear fission industry is, ignorant of what's happening around you. Pull your uranium heads out, start adjusting your industry to fusion energy and start preparing to enter the commercially growing fusion energy industry. As it dawns on Earth like the sun. Great Headline Guardian on Nuclear fission. https://lnkd.in/g8sMZtpR Fission is moving towards obsolescence at an accelerated pace, as it is "out of step, out of time, out of place," and merely a temporary industry globally. https://lnkd.in/gbd_mZqk Commercial fusion electrical generation is a promising innovative sustainable and clean energy method. By 2028, Helion is expected to start producing electricity from its first fusion commercial power plant, which will provide electricity to Microsoft. The plant will produce at least 50 MWe after an initial ramp-up period. https://lnkd.in/gY9J3MQY Now see what is happening in the Fusion industry in the world. https://lnkd.in/g9hMBD7a As fission trebles, fuel shortage is increasingly real,

I am are thrilled to announce that Prysmian's Multiplex Green cable has received the Innovation Award from CEMIG, a leading power company in Brazil. (Reynaldo Passanezi, PhD. Osias Galantine, a big thank you!). This low voltage aluminum aerial bundled cable stands out for its strategic use of polyethylene derived from sugarcane—a bio-based polymer that not only diminishes our dependence on non-renewable resources but also propels the global energy transition towards more sustainable and efficient solutions. Our innovative approach with sugarcane-based polyethylene, which, unlike recycled polyethylene, has a negative carbon footprint, thereby significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and our overall carbon impact. For every 10 km of a 3x70mm² cable, the combined effect results in approximately 1.8 tons of CO2 equivalent reduction. This is achieved by sequestering 1 ton of CO2 equivalent using plant-origin polyethylene during its growth phase (before harvesting), and by avoiding the emission of 0.8 tons of CO2 equivalent that would have been produced from fossil-origin polyethylene. Last but not least, this message serves as a reminder that Brazil, in addition to having an electricity mix with one of the highest proportions of renewable energy, is also introducing unique decarbonization solutions to the world. https://lnkd.in/dQJk24eD

Back home after a great week in Berlin 🇩🇪 This was already my 4th Pipeline Technology Conference (ptc) - 1 online edition in 2020, and 3 editions in Berlin. It's great to see how at each edition, we can tell about the continued growth of Orbital Eye. During my first attendance in 2020, we were with 7 people at Orbital Eye, serving less than 10 customers. Currently, we are with more than 25 colleagues and have tripled the number of customers we serve since 2020, many of these customers also being present in Berlin. I also noticed that over those past 4 years, the industry is increasingly looking into alternatives to conventional monitoring methods and recognizes the benefits of satellite-based monitoring. This was also illustrated by the high attendance at the session where I presented with Bas Schoonbeek, about our successful project with Gasunie in 2023. Whereas 4 years ago satellite-based monitoring was mostly still a new topic for pipeline operators, we now saw that operators are familiar with the technology already, and are actively looking into how this can deployed within their organizations. All-in-all, it was another confirmation that we're on a great mission at Orbital Eye. Can't wait to see what the coming year will bring, and already looking forward to talking about this at the next edition of the Pipeline Technology Conference (ptc)!
🎉 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗧𝗖 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻! A big thanks to EITEP Euro Institute for Information and Technology Transfer in Environmental Protection for organizing a fantastic event. We had a productive week filled with valuable exchanges with pipeline operators and industry partners 👷 The energy and innovation in the #PipelineTechnology space were truly inspiring!💡 While there, we gained deeper insights into the latest trends and challenges shaping the future of the industry.🔧🌱 This fuels our passion to keep pushing boundaries and developing solutions that ensure a safe and sustainable future for pipelines. 👁✨ #PTCBerlin #PipelineMonitoring #COSMIC_EYE
