Biomarker testing is crucial in lung cancer care, yet our recent survey reveals some critical gaps: ▪️Nearly 1/4 of EGFR+ UK patients are unaware of their mutation type. ▪️Over 1/2 are not offered rebiopsy upon progression. Better communication is essential for patients to know their biomarkers, self-advocate, and be proactive in their treatment journey. 📊 All data from EGFR+ UK 2024 Members’ Survey. Eligibility criteria for CAB test is based on the parameters such as the stage of Cancer, Hormone positivity - Estrogen Receptor [ER+] or Progesterone Receptor [PR+] and has HER2 receptor-negative. The removal of the tumor helps reveal these factors and the biomarkers determine the eligibility criteria. For any further information on Can Assist Breast Test, call us on +91 84690 98432. We have just published a new prospective non-interventional study showing real-world clinic utility of ThyroidPrint. Up to 67% of patients undergoing molecular testing for indeterminate thyroid cytology were called benign (Benign Call Rate). With a minimum of 18 months of followup, 99% of these patients remained under surveillance. Furthermore, the post-test cancer probability in patients undergoing ThyroidPrint testing was 71% when compared to the 32% of patient that did not undergo testing. This data provides new evidence of the benefit of molecular testing in well selected patients with indeterminate thyroid cytology. https://lnkd.in/eX39eufg #ThyroidPrint #indeterminatethyroidcytology #KeepYourThyroid #Thyroidcancer

Commonly Used Anesthetic is Surprisingly Effective at Killing Cancer Cells: Lidocaine functions as a local anesthetic by blocking signals at nerve endings in the skin, making it a go-to choice for pain relief during medical procedures. However, its newfound role in cancer treatment has left many baffled. At the heart of this discovery lies the activation of a taste receptor known as T2R14 by lidocaine. This receptor, responsible for detecting bitterness, was found to be present in high concentrations within various cancer cells, especially those residing in the oral cavity and throat. #cancer #oncology #prostatecancer #skincanc #innovation #biotech #celltherapy #genetherapy #immunotherapy #drugdiscovery #drugdelivery #medicalsciences #pharmaceutics #medicine #research #health

1moWhen I was first diagnosed in 2005, there were no standard biomarker tests available for my stage 3B adenocarcinoma gastric cancer. I’m SO proud to support this, but even MORE PROUD that it even exists at all! As a father of 3, this tool makes me feel more optimistic and confident about the health of our next generation, and generations to come. Thank you!
