Info-Tech Research Group just shared a new Exponential IT research concept, as introduced at today’s #InfoTechLIVE conference by Tom Zehren. At first glance of the floating robotic face and talk of technology advancements, "Exponential IT" may appear complex and daunting, but the points below make it pretty simple to conceptualize (and if I can understand it, so can you). 1. The technology curve has recently bent exponentially. 2. AI has been the catalyst, but there are more and more new technologies emerging (e.g. quantum computing, 5G), putting significant pressure on all IT organizations. 3. All IT leaders and organizations are at risk of falling behind because of not adopting new technologies fast enough. 4.
