A job posting for an associate labor & employment attorney in Saginaw.
Associate Attorney
Masud Labor Law Group has a multi-state practice specializing in labor and employment law, representing management exclusively. Unlike many law firms, an associate at Masud has the opportunity for client contact early in their career and is presented with the chance to handle cases and attain real world experience as soon as they demonstrate an ability to work independently. There are no artificial barriers at Masud, and it is not the firm’s plan to have an associate endure years of writing research memos and deposition summaries for the partners. As Masud encourages independence, it expects an associate attorney to act as a self-motivated professional and to work efficiently to meet our clients’ needs and firm goals. Micro-management is not our style. Masud promotes an "open door" atmosphere, where all attorneys and staff are encouraged to collaborate to craft the best solution for our clients’ needs.
About the Job:
You will represent employers ranging from Fortune 500 companies to mom-and-pop enterprises. An associate will prepare for traditional litigation matters in state and federal court, grievance arbitration involving union employees, collective bargaining, actions before the NLRB, EEOC, MERC, and other administrative agencies. Masud’s attorneys often act in capacities akin to in-house labor and employment counsel, providing advice to support human resource professionals in workplace investigations or other legal compliance concerns. We build real, long-term relationships with our clients which are highly rewarding. If you want to become a true master in an exciting area of law which allows for engaging work – you’ve come to the right place.
Salary is commensurate with skills and experience, with a full benefit package.
What’s in it for You:
· Salary: $75,000 - $125,000
· Bonus Plan: Based on objective measures
· Affordable health, dental, and vision insurance
· 401k with profit sharing
· Life insurance
· Paid vacation
· Paid sick days
· Paid holidays
· Professional development assistance
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
· The ability to write concise, accurate, and methodical briefs.
· It is so important we’ll say it twice – strong written advocacy is a must.
· The ability to tell a story persuasively.
· Strong critical thinking skills.
· A passion for the law, and to serve our clients well.
· Confidence, self-respect, perhaps something to prove, and grit.
· An ability to work independently.
Becoming a successful attorney takes effort, particularly at the front end of a career. But the partners at Masud Labor Law Group recognize the need for time out of the office. An associate attorney can most assuredly strike a balance between personal life and work.
