Founded in 2018, TextileGenesis, a Lectra company, provides a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform that enables fashion brands and sustainable textile manufacturers to ensure a reliable, secure and fully digital mapping of their textiles, from the fiber to the consumer, and thereby guarantee their authenticity and origins. Its innovative traceability mechanism, which addresses both ends of the textile value chain, as well as its network of partners for material certification, and its technology platform guarantee the exchange and tracking of reliable and secure data throughout a material's life cycle. Recently we announced a new collaboration with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®), an international NGO whose mission is to promote responsible forest management worldwide. Amit Gautam explains “This new collaboration will support companies in the #traceability of FSC certified fibers and support the administration and data management of FSC Chain of Custody certification. All players in the value chain will benefit from increased #transparency and much more reliable upstream data. Fashion brands will be able to demonstrate much more easily that their garments use textiles made from responsibly sourced man-made cellulose fibers." Read more here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eQr759KW

We are excited to announce a major new collaboration with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®)! 👏🏻 It will enable the implementation, via our platform, of new solutions to ensure the #traceability of cellulose fibers from responsibly managed forests. In #fashion, many textiles such as viscose, lyocell and modal use man-made cellulose fibers. These fibers are themselves made from wood pulp, the production of which can contribute to deforestation. Find out more details in the press release (https://lnkd.in/eQr759KW) and below 👇

Recently, Amit Gautam had the pleasure to participate and share his insights at the Innovation Forum Sustainable Apparel & Textiles conference in Amsterdam concerning "Supply Chain Resiliance: How brands can support suppliers in adapting to legislation and more sustainable production". He pointed out that the fashion & apparel industry is characterized by a very long and fragmented supply chain while a wave of ambitious regulations addressing traceability and transparency are being passed throughout the planet. Today, only 19% of fashion industry actors have a visibility of their value chain, and this visibility is often partial. Full traceability however requires that both ends of the supply chain engage in the traceability process: fiber producers and retailers. Brands need to adopt the right collaborative traceability tool.
Last week, we had the privilege of hosting "Supply Chain Resiliance: How brands can support suppliers in adapting to legislation and more sustainable production" at the Innovation Forum Sustainable Apparel & Textiles conference in Amsterdam. During our panel discussion, we emphasized the significance of fostering collaborative partnerships to help suppliers comply with new regulations, which are crucial for developing sustainable business models in the long term. We were thrilled to dive into this alongside esteemed panelists Amit Gautam of TextileGenesis , Magdalena Bratlie of LPP S.A., and Iqra A. Inam of Sapphire Textile Mills Limited, moderated by Ani Wells of Transformers Foundation. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Innovation Forum, Hanna Halmari, and all the panelists for fostering such stimulating and inspiring dialogues 🌱 #Sustainability #Innovation #Collaboration #TextileIndustry #NetZero
