The Brazilian National Petroleum (ANP) has approved the bidding rules for the upcoming pre-salt round, which will offer 14 areas in the Campos and Santos basins under the permanent offer initiative. Good news from Aberdeen's Maritime Development Ltd (MDL). This is outstanding they have awarded the contract for a dynamic riser assembly for the Libra block in Brazil. The contract was awarded by #Maersk’s supply service Brazil division and involves the installation of a horizontal #SURF lay spread onto a Maersk MSS I\-Class vessel, with the installation campaign planned for 2025. Why it's important? The project will enable connection to a grid of permanent reservoir monitoring (PRM) sensors over the wells of the Mero 1 and Mero 2 projects in the basin’s ultra-deep waters. 𝗔𝗡𝗣 Approves Alto de Cabo Frio Central Discovery Evaluation Plan (PAD) Earlier this week, ANP approved the Discovery Evaluation Plan (PAD) related to well 1-BRSA-1383A-RJS, known as PAD 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗼 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹-𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲. The well, drilled in 2022, had positive results in pre-salt reservoirs in the Alto do Cabo Frio Central block, situated between the Campos and Santos basins. The block was acquired on the 3rd Production Sharing Bid Round by the consortium Petrobras (50%) and bp (50%). Petrobras is also required to submit the Exploration Work Plan (PTE) within 30 days.
