🌟 Navigating Autism Disclosure During Interviews 🌟 I had a recent conversation with a new friend regarding Neurodiversity and disclosing in interviews. Below are some good tips as you consider disclosing. I'll add my side of the conversation, further detailing my thoughts and path in the comments below. Deciding whether to disclose autism in an interview is deeply personal and can be challenging. Here’s what I’ve learned: ⏳ Timing: Find the right moment to disclose—whether it’s on the application, during the interview, or after receiving an offer. Do what feels right for you. 🌟 Highlight Strengths: Frame your autism as an asset. Talk about the unique skills and perspectives it brings, making you a standout candidate. 🛠️ Request Accommodations: If you need specific accommodations to shine, don’t hesitate to ask. Clear communication helps employers understand and support your needs. 💪 Be Confident: Your neurodiversity is a strength. Highlight how it enhances your problem-solving and innovative thinking. Remember, the right company will value your authenticity and the unique insights you bring. Your journey and experiences are invaluable. #Neurodiversity #AutismAtWork #InterviewTips #Inclusion #BeYourself

Question: "How about job interviews, if you've had any conversations about neurodiversity during the job interviews since 'coming out'?"

Also - if you get an itchy feeling after disclosing it, perhaps it’s a sign that it’s not a place you would want to be working anyway…
