Let me get into #headhunting and the way some #HR employees handle the applicants they select! It's weird how you're asked to join a new company because of your experience, but you're also treated like any other candidate and have to take time off from your #work to prepare for tests or go through a tedious hiring process (that you didn't seek!) I believe HRs must avoid subjecting #headhunted candidates to usual lengthy hiring processes. They didn’t seek you out—you sought their expertise. If you doubt they're a good fit, then why did you insist that they drop everything and give you their whole attention? Streamlining the #recruiting process and offering a clear offer are essential. Even the interview aspect should be different; it should be more about discussing mutual fit and future collaboration rather than evaluating basic qualifications. That's a point many companies miss. When #hiring, be sure to use different methods for general candidates and those you personally #headhunt. Also, the hiring process for a junior is different from that of a senior, and an upper-level title is different from both, etc.

Dear HR/Recruiters/Talent Acquisition Teams, While I appreciate the efforts you guys put into job posting and hiring process, I’ve noticed that some of the details are a bit unclear, particularly in terms of role expectations, required qualifications, job responsibilities and steps to follow during the hiring and interviewing process. In particular: Role clarity: Some postings lack detailed descriptions of day-to-day responsibilities, making it challenging to understand the full scope of the position. Qualifications: At times, the required skills and qualifications are vague or not well-defined, leading to uncertainty about what is truly needed for the role. Application process: There’s occasionally ambiguity in the steps candidates need to follow after submitting their application or during the interview process. Clearer job descriptions help candidates better assess their suitability for the role, and ensure that HR receives applications from individuals who are genuinely a strong fit. Additionally, transparent communication regarding the application process can help manage candidate expectations.
