During #RememberACharityWeek, It seems fitting that we highlight the amazing legacy of one of our supporters, Dr Alison Brind, who sadly passed away earlier this year. Alison was a passionate and committed Hepatologist, who dedicated her life to the liver. She was a very generous personal donor to the charity and cared deeply that all liver patients could get the treatment they needed. After generously funding our Love Your Live roadshow to visit Stoke in 2023 (where she lived and worked) and seeing the success it had, Alison informed us that she would like to fund the roadshow in Stoke for another 5 years. This June was the first time we had been back to Stoke since her passing and it was a visit we are sure she would have been very proud of: https://ow.ly/ZanY50Tn4kx

Meet Elizabeth, our Board President at the Endo Forward Foundation! 💛 In this video, she shares her excitement about where some of the funds raised during NTX Giving Day will go—and it’s all about pushing forward education and awareness for endometriosis. For Elizabeth, this mission is personal. After spending 14 years searching for answers and being told by over 40 doctors that everything she was going through was “normal,” she finally learned the truth—it wasn’t normal, and she had endometriosis. That’s why she knows firsthand how critical it is to spread education and awareness about this disease. With the funds from NTX Giving Day, we’ll be creating educational resources, raising community awareness, and pushing for better care so that no one has to go through what Elizabeth and so many others have endured. Your support is helping us break the cycle of misdiagnosis and misinformation, and it’s changing lives. Thank you for standing with us. Together, we’re making sure every Endo Warrior has the knowledge and care they need. 💛 Donate Here: https://lnkd.in/gfseREfv #northtexasgivingday2024 #endometriosissurgery #endometriosissupport #patientadvocate #endoforwardfoundation #endosupport #nonprofitlife #EffEndo #endometriosiswarrior #nonprofit #endometriosisawareness #makingadifference #youmatter #chronicillnesswarrior #endostrong #dallas #texasnonprofit #dfwnonprofit #austin #austinnonprofit

Give Blood🩸, Save Lives! Join me in saying #ImTheChange and do what you can to help end the 💥 Blood Emergency 💥. As I've mentioned previously John Harrity and I are challenging each other again this year to inspire blood donations all year long, the team that donates the least amount of blood each month will donate $50 to the winner's chosen cause. I will be raising money for Tap Cancer Out because #FuckCancer I know John, a widow-maker heart attack survivor will start the year raising money for The American Heart Association Lawyer's Have Heart event of which he is a Co-Chair (and to which the $250 I lost to him last year has already gone). Join us in this Life Saving Challenge: 1. Donate blood. 2. Share your donation (via picture or text post here on Linkedin). 3. State that you're donating for Team #ImTheChange. 4. Tag Chris Gaskill 😊 ✨ Gaskill and John Harrity It's absurd that the US is in a 💥 Blood Emergency 💥 I believe that as the "Professionals" of social media, us here on LinkedIn are well positioned to put an end to that absurdity. #BloodDonationChallenge #SaveLives #DonateBlood #CommunityImpact #Harrity #Harrity4Charity #Give2Give

Myself and our Digital Operations Leadership Team at ICON, titled "Digital Daredevils" are joining the Debra Ireland’s charity 'Take a leap for Debra' by abseiling Croke Park on 28th March and braving the almost 150ft drop from the roof of Croke Park to raise much needed funds to support the Rare Disease charity Debra Ireland. Help us by donating at the link below to support an organisation who are dedicated to transforming the lives of people living with EB, caring for someone with EB, or bereaved by EB, through care, research and advocacy. Donate with a click : https://lnkd.in/ecNTnyf8 What is EB? Imagine if your skin was as fragile as a butterfly wing. If it broke, tore, and blistered at the slightest touch. If you had skin that took four hours every day to bandage to keep you alive. Or skin that would not allow you to walk without your feet splitting and burning. This is the skin of someone living with EB, a genetic disorder that affects the body’s largest organ; the skin. People living with EB are missing the essential proteins that bind the skin’s layers together, so any minor friction, movement or trauma causes it to break and blister. It’s debilitating. Excruciating. Relentless. A disease with no known cure. Want to know more about Debra? https://lnkd.in/e-NPpKQX
