Recently, our research was included in The Hastings Center Report, a journal that explores the ethical, legal, and social issues in medicine, health care, public health, and the life sciences. Our article was developed in partnership with the Qualitative and Health Experiences Research Lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is included among an impressive line up of experts writing about trust in healthcare. We’re particularly proud of our contribution, “You have to trust yourself”: The Overlooked Role of Self-Trust in Coping with Chronic Illness.” This article draws on the words and insights of patients, an overlooked and rich arena to deepen our understanding of trust. We write about the role of “self-trust” in helping people with chronic illness to make the healthcare system work better for their needs. This work ignites our professional curiosity while also giving us space to dive into a topic that is deeply personal - living with chronic illness. You can read the full article at the link below. While this article focuses on health, we see that self-trust is at work among leaders who can activate change for the future, and who can guide a team through a wobbly moment. We’re excited to continue our learning. Tell us how did you learn to trust yourself as a leader? https://buff.ly/484PIos
