Imagine a place where nature speaks for itself, where a 108-acre forest on the banks of the Pascagoula River becomes a backdrop for transformation and healing. Imagine a place where qualified, compassionate staff walk with you toward long-term change. Indigenous Healing As Restorative Justice Part 1 Healing among Indigenous people is an all- encompassing experience of restoration of balance and harmony in the universe as a whole and in the individuals. Sickness, suffering, and evil are connected to imbalance and injustice to solidarity, community, and connection. Healing, in the indigenous context, is the search for wholistic wellbeing of the lifeworld and the entire universe.

We rain bombs on their lands, driven not by righteousness, but by a thirst for power and profit. In our wake, we leave a poisoned wasteland, a vortex of violence. When innocent families and children flee the hellscape we've created, seeking refuge on our shores, we persecute them further, threatening them with more brutality. Imagine this was you. Your world shattered, your loved ones lost. Your only hope is to escape to a foreign land. But instead of compassion, you face hostility and further threats. We must remember the Golden Rule: treat others as you wish to be treated. Extend your hand, not your fist. Offer refuge, not rejection. See their humanity, their suffering, their desperate need for safety. We cannot be the architects of further pain. We must be beacons of hope, offering shelter from the storm we helped create. In their faces, see the reflection of our own vulnerability. In their struggle, recognize our shared humanity. #compassion

Despite the Shinnecock and all other Tribes’s continued inhabitance of the land, the perpetuation of the Doctrine of Discovery continues to manifest in various ways, such as land use, development, and resource extraction, that do not fully respect the sovereignty and rights of #IndigenousPeoples over their ancestral lands. This includes zoning laws, property disputes, and other policies that marginalize Native People and restrict their ability to exercise full control over their traditional territories. #LandBack #CulturalSurvival https://lnkd.in/e69rkQqi

That’s what beavers 🦫 do! And we, too, have behaviors that we need to decide to continue, do more, do less, or eliminate! — I.e. are we delegating everything we should? Are we “staying safe?” When we should be breaking out of comfort zones in order to grow? Are WE building proverbial ‘dams’ or roadblocks to our success? #businesscoach #leadershipcoach #salescoach
This beaver, orphaned and rescued right after birth, demonstrates remarkable instinctive behavior. Observe its incredible innate ability to build a dam, despite never having seen its parents construct one. 😊
