Yesterday, on the second day of CoreNet Berlin, I attended a fascinating session called Culture Club: Making Work Your Happy Place. While many of the day's sessions were interesting, this one struck a particular chord with me, as it invited me to look at my own behaviours at work, especially in the more challenging moments. The session examined how our reactions and behaviours, shaped by our feelings and thoughts, have an impact on culture in our work environment. It might sound obvious, but relationships, happiness, enjoyable workplaces, team activities, community building and inclusivity are all interrelated; by examining our own behaviours and reactions, we can ensure what we put into the culture aids its cohesion. From there, we can all help to create more harmonious places to work. 

I invited Steve Utech and Dan Ritter to speak to my college class regarding culture today at St. Norbert College. The students did great asking Steve and Dan about how they work with companies on keeping their culture moving forward. The best money we spend as a business? That's easy.... Bringing our people together for the annual Team Retreat. A few weeks ago, we took the Triyit team to Budapest for a few days. Why? 2 reasons... Firstly, to celebrate: - A record year of growth - Our new technology platform going live - And... closing a 7-figure VC investment Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, to just spend some quality time together, get to know each other better, and get everyone fully aligned with the ambitious and very exciting year ahead. Budapest was the perfect backdrop for our annual Team Retreat. It's an amazing place, full of amazing people! We ate well, we drank well, and we laughed - a lot! We strategised, we ideated, and we created - even more! We all left feeling: → Energised by what we had accomplished over the past year → Aligned with the plan for the next phase of aggressive growth → Focused on our mission to connect consumers and brands like never before These moments together are priceless. They remind us of how lucky we are to be surrounded by such wonderful people. As we gear up for our next chapter, I'm more convinced than ever: The best investment we can make is in our people and the time we spend together, reflecting, ideating, planning, and celebrating! Last week cannot be wrapped up in a LinkedIn post, but let's try! Wise hosts a bi-annual company conference for all of our 5,400 Wisers to connect with each other, align and learn more about the mission, the strategy and our individual role in driving greater impact for our customers. For the very first time ever in Wise's history we had a Follow the Sun Mission Day - when we connected 3 offices on 3 continents, making this a truly 24-hour long company event. Our Singapore team kicked-off the day, then handed it over to Tallinn, then later the Austin team wrapped the day up. Incredible effort, incredible impact, extraordinary organisation and facilitation streamlining global content and connecting offices and a global audience 👏 🚀 Some personal highlights: 1. It was awesome to connect with my wider team and spend time together - our People Partners are based on 3 locations, and soon to be 4 - We're hiring in Austin!!! 2. Joining business plannings so I can understand the goals and objectives of my client groups and becoming more and more integrated to their teams. 3. Experiencing that after 5.5 years of being a Wiser, I still get butterflies when it's Mission Days time of the year!
