Correct and timely pruning is the key to keeping apples, peaches, grapes, blueberries, and other fruiting plants healthy and productive and bearing the tastiest fruits. Learn the how and—importantly—the why of pruning these plants in their young, developing stage and then as they mature and bear fruits. We’ll also go over how to bring a neglected, old plant back to its former, luscious glory. Learn from Lee and other Foodscaping experts at this year’s conference. https://lnkd.in/gZF9wnF9 Lee Reich, PhD dove into gardening decades ago, initially with one foot in academia, as an agricultural scientist with the USDA and Cornell University, and one foot in the field, the organic field. He eventually expanded his field to a farmden (more than a garden, less than a farm) and left academia to lecture, consult, and and write. He has authored nine books and was a syndicated columnist for Associated Press. Besides providing a year ‘round supply of fruits and vegetables, his farmden provides a testing ground for innovative techniques in soil care, pruning, and growing fruits and vegetables, and provides an educational site for workshops and training. Science and an appreciation of natural systems underpin his work. #ediblelandscaping #foodscaping #growyourownfood #climateresilience #foodscaper #regenerativelandscaping #foodnotlawns #growyourown #edibledesign #gardendesign #greenjobs #growyourownfood #careerchange #dreamjob #startabusiness #gardeningcareers #workthatmatters #conference
