“It may have been more to do with the assignment being niche and out of the ordinary, but I really liked that there were multiple team members working with me throughout the process. From interview prep, onboarding, and the current check-in's people seem genuinely invested even after the start date, and continue to follow up and make sure I'm doing well.” #candidatereview #reviewsmatter

Skip the generic 'culture' question in interviews. Instead, ask: 1) What surprises new employees here? 2) Share a story of supporting growth. 3) How's feedback handled? 4) Celebrations for success? 5) Onboarding process insights? 6) Learning and development approach? 7) Communication strategies? 8) Core values impact on decisions? 9) Changes since you joined? 10) Recommended resources for shared understanding? #companyculture #employeeexperience #professionalgrowth #feedbackculture #learninganddevelopment #communicationstrategies #corevalues #employeeengagement #onboardingprocess

Onboarding VS Offboarding When a person was interviewed for his job, he said he loved the company culture and opportunities to grow. But when he left, he said he was leaving because of the culture and lack of growth. Funny how things change, right? 😄 #interviews #fun #corporateculture #culture #culturematters #growth

I cannot emphasize this quote enough. If you cannot define the "why" in both of these scenarios, then something was truly missed during the interview process. The nervous, new employee, wants to know they made the right decision by choosing your company. It is during the onboarding process you have the opportunity to reinforce this great decision. #managersjourney #thehiringtree #hiringtips #talentacquisition #definethewhy

🔑 **Unlocking the Power of Exit Interviews** 🔑 As professionals, we often focus on onboarding and performance reviews, but there's an equally crucial aspect we sometimes overlook: the **exit interview**. Exit interviews offer invaluable insights into company culture, management effectiveness, and areas needing improvement. By actively listening to departing employees, organizations can: 1. Identify patterns and root causes of turnover. 2. Gain honest feedback free from day-to-day pressures. 3. Improve retention by addressing concerns and making necessary changes. Whether or not a candidate is hired, you want them to have a good experience. A simple way to accomplish this is by pairing them with a consistent point of contact throughout the process. Interviews can be terrifying, especially when in a room or a Zoom with multiple people asking you questions to determine if you’re a good fit. Having a familiar face in the room helps ease that anxiety. This point of contact can also answer questions and provide pointers on what questions may be asked and how best to frame their answers. For extra credit, your point of contact can also guide hired candidates through the training or onboarding processes.
