Appreciation is the unsung hero that breathes life into relationships, workplaces, and communities. It acts as a powerful catalyst, fostering a positive environment and building strong connections between individuals. In personal relationships, expressing appreciation strengthens bonds and promotes a sense of security and belonging. It goes beyond mere acknowledgment, conveying a deep understanding of someone's efforts or qualities. In the workplace, appreciation fuels motivation and boosts morale, leading to increased productivity and a more harmonious atmosphere. On a broader scale, societal appreciation creates a culture of gratitude, encouraging individuals to recognize and celebrate the diverse talents and contributions of others. This recognition promotes inclusivity and cooperation, paving the way for a more harmonious and supportive community. In essence, appreciation is the glue that binds people together. It not only recognizes the value of individual efforts but also inspires continued growth and collaboration. Whether in personal relationships or on a societal level, the importance of appreciation cannot be overstated—it's the key to nurturing thriving connections and fostering a positive, uplifting environment for everyone involved.

We are getting ready for the biggest inclusive party on the weekend - the Sydney Mardi Gras! 🌈🎉 I have wanted to participate in a float since I went to my first Mardi Gras 20 years ago. And this year I have been lucky enough to be selected as a DANCER for the Western Sydney University float! We want to look great on the big night and here is a snippet of the dress rehearsal of our excellent choreography! 💃🏻 Why am I a staunch ally and how can we support? In today's diverse workplace, fostering diversity and inclusivity is crucial for success. Here are some key tips to promote a more inclusive environment: 🌈 Celebrate Differences: Embrace the unique backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences of your colleagues. Encourage open dialogue and learning from each other. 🌈 Provide Training: Offer diversity and inclusion training to raise awareness and promote understanding among employees. Education is key to fostering inclusivity. 🌈 Create Safe Spaces: Establish an environment where everyone feels safe to express themselves without fear of judgment or discrimination. 🌈 Promote Diverse & Inclusive Leadership: Encourage diverse representation in leadership roles to reflect the varied voices within your organisation. 🌈 Listen and Act: Actively listen to feedback from employees and take concrete steps to address any issues related to inclusivity and diversity. Let's work together to create a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and included. Do you have more diversity and inclusive workplaces tips? And most importantly, who else is also going to the Mardi Gras on Saturday and what are you wearing?! 🤔 #inclusion #diversity #diversityandinclusion #ally #linkedinnewsaustralia With Jennifer Westacott AO Kimberley Ann Pangilinan Melinda Blackmore Becki C. October is Global Diversity Month. Rooted in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which was adopted after World War II, the Declaration represents the first global expression of rights to which all human beings are inherently entitled. It is essentially an acknowledgment that we should understand and respect the value of every human being, regardless of their nationality, color, race, sex, gender, country of origin, language, or otherwise. At Culligan, we welcome people of all identities and work to ensure each person has the tools they need to be safe, respected, valued, and successful. Our inclusive culture embraces the many dimensions of diversity, going beyond visible differences. We actively seek to understand and learn from one another’s experiences, empowering all to contribute unique ideas, challenge norms, and be authentic. By cultivating a diverse workforce, equitable workplace and inclusive culture, we leverage the varied skills and perspectives of our people to drive innovation, better reflect our communities, and create positive change within and beyond Culligan. #globaldiversitymonth #culligan #heyculligan #dei
