🆕 The 4th annual “Global Fusion Industry Report” from the Fusion Industry Association (FIA) is out now! In this report, the FIA summarizes the state of the industry based on a survey in which private fusion companies like us participated. Some important findings are: ▸ The whole industry has attracted over $7.1 of private investment. ▸ $900m of private funds have been invested since last year. ▸ Worldwide over 4,000 people are employed in private fusion companies. Despite these good news there are still major challenges to overcome in the future. It is well known that the technological struggle is won in the market. How did some of the leading publicly listed companies perform in the financial year 2023? All 3 companies evaluated here recognized revenues but reported net losses. This is not terrible news as even leading lithium-ion BESS integrators such as Fluence reported net losses for FY 2023. The 3 companies have identified their most promising paths to profitability. As I have always said, the alternative energy storage companies that survive long enough will eventually turn positive net incomes.
