As a majority Aboriginal-owned business, we are committed to the genuine engagement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. During National Reconciliation Week, we reflect on how we can collectively contribute to reconciliation, both as a company and as individuals. We will be encouraging important conversations in our teams and learning as much as possible during this week’s events. Racism is still a widespread problem, as demonstrated by the recent incidences of racial abuse to AFL player, Eddie Betts' children and many other examples. These occurrences are not isolated incidents and highlight the need for reconciliation in Australia. Now more than ever, it is important for us to all call out racism, educate ourselves, our families, teams and communities, and recognise its extensive effects. We all have a role to play. #Reconciliation #NRW2024 #NowMoreThanEver

The video below reflects one of the inequalities and injustices the world needs to fix. As we speak about Sustainability, we must realise that there is nothing as unsustainable as injustice... Collaboration, fairness and shared prosperity will always be the best way to achieve a more sustainable global, national, societal, business and/or family system. The next time you stand up to speak about Sustainability, please examine your actions in terms of fairness to those around you....

This video is proof that your colonizers don’t mean you well. The injustice and inequality in South Africa, like in other regions where settler colonialism is present, is glaring. There is a need to demand justice, fairness, and equitable distribution of resources. #JusticeSouthAfricans #EndInjustice #FightInequality #EquityNow #StopColonialism #FairDistribution #SouthAfrica #HumanRights #DemandJustice #SocialEquity #Apartheid Video Source: https://lnkd.in/dUNJJhYD

The recent unrest in the UK reveals deep-rooted issues often ignored by those in power. Governments tell us to accept their decisions, labeling dissenters as bigots or racists. Growing up in diverse Manchester, I've seen firsthand the value of different cultures—my informal adoptive Jamaican grandmother her daughter who I called aunty all my life my brothers who are of Syrian heritage from my dads second marriage means like most of use we grew up integrated and immersed in various cultures. The identity of race in my mind only became known and an issue in secondary school when it pushed that we are different and that because of the British past of colonialism we as white British need to understand that communities have pain from these acts long before any of us were born and that to speak up against this narrative was wrong and that we were racist. The real problem isn't the peaceful protesters, but those who turn to violence on both sides and the rhetoric from media outlets. We need open dialogues to address these issues. Let’s not label all white people as far-right, nor all minorities as illegal immigrants or territorist. We as Community workers should share the stories we hear in our communities to foster understanding and find common ground solutions. #CommunityEngagement #Diversity #OpenDialogue #SocialCohesion #PeacefulProtest

Now you all know why I refer to America as the biggest bully in power. Now you see why I've been saying for years that former colonial powers cannot be trusted because they created the UN to justify genocide and the continued pillaging of African and Middle Eastern resources. How do you trust people which used religion to justify the scramble and partitioning of Africa? How do you trust a people which took our Black brothers and sisters to their country to work as slaves and continues to kill their children and grandchildren using their so-called police? Have you heard that the police force in America descended from the KKK? The same group responsible for the lynching of Black people? Have you heard and read of the former Black settlements burned to the ground and covered in water to form the now existing lakes spread out in America? Have you heard the stories of the Aborigins of Australia and the natives of so-called Canada and the natives of so-called America? Have you read about red-lining and gun violence and the disproportionate incarceration of Black and Brown people? Have you read about the history of hip hop its role in educating Black people about our history and ending gang violence in the resource-scarce Bronx of the U.S.A? Have you heard of the Crown Act? Do you know about the appropriation of Global Majority cultures through "Westernized" yoga, braids, cooking shows, music, spa and wellness, aerobics, sacred dances and rites, and "artwork" depicting naked Black and Brown bodies because of the fetishization of our bodies? Why are there child slaves in Congo? Tesla is responsible because clean energy is not clean energy. Europe, Canada, Australia, and America have shown us that the international law does not apply to Black and Brown people - the actual Global Majority. Slavery did not end. Neither did colonialism. It simply morphed into a more sinister tactic like the one first used by those who brought Christianity and Bibles to Africa in one hand while hiding guns in another. Wars are created and funded by the Western world. They produce the guns. They create a thesis and anti-thesis and walk away while people fight for resources based on tribal advantages created by the same Western powers. Consider the IMF sparking trouble in Kenya then stepoing away so we can demonstrate and die. Our lives mean nothing to them. We are Black. All they see is labour. Labour for the cotton farms then. Skilled labour for their industries now. And bodies for the wars they musy create to make money by selling armour. The UN soldiers will be on standby to guard oil wells in Nigeria and mines in the Congo. Tea, coffee, and flower farms will be kept safe by the locals paid by the descendants of those whose fathers negotiated our independence and are still in bed with colonizers. Cacao will still be received in Europe from Africa. Leather and rubber as well. We see you, America. This time, we know you are coming.

'Genocide Watch Recommendations 2024' acknowledge 12 current Genocide emergencies, plus 5 additional Genocide warnings; and they aren't even including the settler-colonial elimination praxis in play, in the name of 'Indigenous inclusion'. The world is a war zone; and the attack on diversity operates axiomatically, in ubiquity. The current state of play is detrimental to all People. What is it exactly that we are holding onto; and why?
