Did you know... - In the first video of my women's history month myth-busting series, I look at the myth of how far we've come and how long women have had equality (so can't we just stop talking about it and move on?). Because guess what women in *Switzerland* couldn't do until 1971? Or women in the *US* couldn't do until 1974? You'll have to watch to find out: https://lnkd.in/eAZaiakS

AVP, Sales Development and Training, Nationwide Financial - Fortune 100 leader: Collaborator: Solutions-Oriented: Empathetic Leader
Such a great opportunity today to discuss the unique challenges women face and discuss ways financial professionals can dig deeper to become a true partner in planning for a secure financial future. The concepts of ‘head trust’, ‘heart trust’ and ‘performative empathy’ are essential components in the financial professional and female client relationship. This white paper digs deeper into that. https://lnkd.in/eX-PUSs6
An overarching theme of the conference is #connection. Thanks to Lori Seaton for walking fellow female leaders Patti Hausherr, Zennière Bowry-Thomas CPA, CISA and Sarah Williams through a conversation detailing strategies and techniques all levels of distribution should consider to help personalize and elevate service of the fastest-growing client demographic: WOMEN!

2024 Crain’s Law Leader; CEO & General Counsel; former Biglaw Partner/Director - Government Contracts, Certification, Contract Compliance, Supplier & Workplace Diversity
Let's all take a page from the book of Black women and make our voices heard. Congressperson Shirley Chisholm once said, "if they don't give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair." Her words continue to inspire women today as we witness an unprecedented number of people making their own space in the conversation about diversity, equity and inclusion - particularly Black women. For women, Blacks and others who have faced discrimination, it's important to remember your worth, not what anyone else thinks it is. Shirley Chisholm knew that securing a seat at the table meant using her voice to facilitate change and impact progress. We can all learn from her bravery and be the change we want to see in the world. Don't wait for an invitation, be determined to make an impact, have some courage. Don’t be convinced that what you say doesn’t matter. Use the power of your words and be heard - not just during Women’s History Month. We need all hands on deck all year long during these challenging times for our nation. If your voice didn't have power, nobody would be trying to silence it. If our history wasn’t important, nobody would be trying to hide it. So, believe in yourself, know that you belong even if you don’t receive an invitation. Bring up a chair for yourself and make a difference for all.♥️ This is what we try to do every single day at Ponder Diversity Group. #shirleychisholm #womenlead #blackwomenleaders #voices #seatatthetable #makeadifference #womenempoweringwomen #politicalleadership #genderequity #racialequity #diversityequityinclusion #diversity #equity #inclusion
