PM360 Magazine asked what challenges still exist when it comes to getting healthcare providers timely and relevant information to best improve patient outcomes? Alaina Victoria, PT, DPT from OneStep explains: "Healthcare providers grapple with an overwhelming influx of data, which hampers their ability to quickly extract actionable insights crucial for patient care. The extensive volume of information, stemming from electronic health records and diagnostic tools, leads to information overload and makes prioritizing and analyzing data challenging. Additionally, the lack of standardized formats exacerbates the issue, impeding seamless integration of disparate data sources. To tackle this challenge, healthcare systems must invest in advanced analytics tools to streamline data processing and analysis, while keeping care patient-centric. These tools automate tasks like data aggregation and trend identification, facilitating more efficient and personalized insight extraction. Furthermore, fostering a culture of data literacy and innovation among healthcare professionals is essential. Including providers in the process of adopting novel technology so that solutions are vetted and approved by the ones who will be using them the most. By providing training and resources designed with providers in mind, they can more easily navigate and interpret a multitude of important patient information, improving the care experience and decision-making processes. Ultimately, embracing technology and promoting data-driven practices that truly makes life easier for healthcare providers can empower them to make informed decisions swiftly, leading to enhanced patient outcomes." CEO @ Peach Health Asia | Two decades of successful experience bringing digital health, pharma and medtech companies into Asia
Interesting to see how different stakeholders are blending different partners and capabilities (digital and non-digital) to create virtual and hybrid healthcare solutions. Note this represents the activity of originating partners from quite different industries, specifically healthcare provider, pharma and digital health. Learning to partner and be willing to explore innovative commercial business models looks to be a theme for digital health companies to keep an eye on in 2024! #digitalhealthcare #digitalhealth #digitalhealthasia
Everyone’s talking about Eli Lilly and Company’s launch of LillyDirect, a website that connects consumers with third-party partners providing care navigation to in-person providers, virtual care and telemedicine, and pharmacy fulfillment and delivery of select Lilly medications. Within days of Lilly’s announcement, Mayo Clinic and Transcarent also launched virtual weight management offerings. The unifying thread of these three new launches? Each is operationalized through digital health partnerships—but in notably different structures. For pharma companies, digital health partners can indirectly provide care and pharmacy services without crossing regulatory lines. For provider organizations experiencing staff shortages, accessing digital health companies’ virtual clinician networks may help to scale quickly. For all players, selecting digital health partners with built-out virtual capabilities such as behavior change programs and clinician networks reduces program upstart costs and rollout time. Plus, by tapping into obesity-specific digital care expertise, organizations can position their programs as offering whole-person care. We expect to see an increase of new programs that rely on digital health partners for execution—in obesity and beyond. If you’re evaluating your approach to digital health partnerships, let’s talk: advisory@rockhealth.com. #digitalhealth #healthcareinnovation #obesitycare

Rock Health sums up two big trends in health care in this simple diagram. Digital health partnerships will become even more important, especially for providers to access clinical talent. The launch of direct to consumer access for GLP-1s and other consumer treatments. I’m optimistic both trends could have big upsides for consumer affordability down the road. What do you think? #digitalhealthinnovation #digitalhealth #partnerships
